I recently added the Events+ plugin to my site (I am using the Vantage Business Directory theme from Appthemes) as you can see at http://www.boulder-health-guide.com/events/
I am unsure how to set the events calendar to fill the full width. As of now it has a sidebar and the footer has squished into a partial width of the screen. I realize this may be a theme conflict with the plugin, however, I thought I would ask all the helpful people here if you had any ideas of how to change this. I suppose a sidebar would be okay, although I don't see a way to set a custom sidebar for this or how to get the footer to stretch across the full width. I have the settings set as the screen shot shows.
Thanks.

Did you happen to remove the Events + plugin? I don't see anything on the page, see: http://awesomescreenshot.com/06085al74
Some CSS should sort this out, I can help, let me know!

Strange. When I am logged in as admin I can see the page just fine, but when I am not logged in I see it as you showed. Any idea what I have done wrong that that would happen?

Okay, got it straightened out. I have membership plugin set up as well and didn't give that page access to visitors. Now you should be able to see it.

Hiya,
I see whats happening. The Events+ Calendar layout doesn't call for the sidebar. I have added the call in the attached template.
Just upload archive-incsub_event.php (from the attached archive-incsub_event.zip) to your themes root folder.
Lets see how that goes :)

Hi Arun,
Thank you for the detailed help! I uploaded the file you mentioned to the root folder. So are you saying that this will now allow me to create a sidebar for the events page? Or was that file to make the events page go full width? If it was for a sidebar, how can I customize the sidebar?
As of now everything still looks the same and the footer is still crunched into the page rather than being full width.
Thanks again for helping me straighten this out!

Hey there,
by root folder I meant the root of the theme.
I suppose you are using Vantage theme? (based on the Qand A question).
This file should go into wp-content/themes/vantage/
Let me know how that goes. Good luck!

Sorry about that. Okay added it to wp-content/themes/vantage/ and it is still not right. It did add a "This is awesome" quote to the top... :-).... but that was it. Still not putting the sidebar in place. Sheesh, my theme seems to have trouble with sidebars. Thanks for all your support with this Arun. Any other ideas?

Interesting. So the questions page at http://www.boulder-health-guide.com/questions/ has now moved the sidebar into its correct position, however, the unanswered tab and the ask a question tab don't link anywhere. Also, at the bottom of the page the test questions is repeated. Strange.

Any other ideas of what I can add to the events plugin to get the sidebar working correctly?

Greetings rawearthman,
Sorry for the delay here and after visiting your site I see that it is still jacked up a little bit.
Have you seen the templates that are available for your use in the /wp-content/plugins/events-and-bookings/default-templates i.e. calendar, default, and full width?
I believe these are the templates you want to be working with and after visiting your site.
Please advise.
Cheers, Joe

Hi Joe,
Thanks for checking in. Yes the event plugin is still not working with my theme. I have tried each of the events templates available, yet none of them work correctly. The sidebar keeps getting pulled into the main page, no matter which template I use. Arun gave me a file that tried to fix this, however, it didn't quite get it there. Any other ideas?

Anyone else want to jump in to try and help me with this? Thanks.

Greetings rawearthman,
Thank you for your latest feedback and update.
I believe this will need to have some custom coding done to it to make it fit your theme.
Therefore I will see if I can get the lead developer in here with his invaluable insight into this plugin for his advice/advise for us.
Though this may take a bit longer then a normal ticket, I will try to get him in here asap.
Cheers, Joe

HI Kimberley,
I decided to switch themes, which has an events feature, so I am no longer in need of help on this issue. Thanks though.

Hi there - I am also looking for a way to get the sidebar active on the site.
I have a sidebar displaying here: http://reptile411.com/events/trade-shows-expos/
But it doesn't display on the events page: http://reptile411.com/events/2012/09/war-memorial-auditorium/
Also, I would love to be able to put a calendar of the full month on my homepage - maybe there is a shortcode I am missing that would allow me to put a 100% width calendar up?
Thanks!

Also... I did try using that archive-incs, but I didn't see a change on my site. Are there settings to change with that?

Hey there!
@koskow we nearly missed you here on this ticket as it's closed !
There is no shortcode for the calendar, sorry
Would you mind starting a new thread on this one?
Thanks!
