Greetings pollenbrands,
Import custom fields from an RSS Feed?
Please clarify what you are referring to?

That's what I was referring to. I am importing posts from another blog on the same network and would like to know if it's possible to import the custom fields of the posts as well. Since posting I realized that the RSS feed doesn't even include the custom fields. Any suggestions?

Greetings pollenbrands,
The first challenge here will be to get the custom fields added to the rss feed, because of course you cannot import something that does not exist in the rss feed already.
This is no easy task and involves heavy modification of the WordPress core:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/custom-fields-in-rss-feeds
Also here is an article that goes a little further in the discussion:
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-content-and-completely-manipulate-your-wordpress-rss-feeds/
We do not support this degree of custom coding in this forum.
However, can you please post here the results/challenges you have encountered trying to code it in yourself or alternatively you could see if there's a developer available at wpmu jobs
Please advise.
Cheers, Joe

I was actually able to insert get_post_meta() straight into the feed-rss2.php file. As a workaround for getting it imported, that suits my needs, I just put it straight within the <content:encoded> tags. Not the best solution, but I didn't want to start figuring out how to get Autoblog to recognize it and map it appropriately.
