I am looking for a way to increase the size of the image that is pulled in via the FB Connect login. The login works fine, however user profile photo/image is smaller than i would like. In addition, as an Author/Admin the image which is my FB image and now linked via FB connect, is very small on my author profile page. Wondering if there is code in the plug in to increase the size of the photo / image shown?

This can be set in your theme css I suppose. Can you give me a link to the live page where I can login, see it and suggest changes for you that you can add to your theme stylesheet?

Hi Arun, thanks and thanks for the offer to check it out. Thought it was a FB plug-in issue as my theme allows you to increase the gravatar to 96px but it doesn't change.

Add this to your style.css and see what happens, am not 100% certain here.

width: 75px !important;
}
Also I read that Facebook sets the size limit to 50px for small avatar, and 200px for big avatar. The plugin is currently fetching the 50px image, so the image will looked blurry after the css edit. So I guess that is something we would have to do from our end.

The Ultimate Facebook plugin fetches 50px size images from Facebook. Is it possible to add an option for user to set the size?
I realize that there is an option to fetch a 200px image as well. Maybe if size is set (to a max of 200px), we fetch the 200px image from Facebook and scale it down to user specified width.

Hello,
In the latest plugin release (v2.2, just released), the connect widget has an additional option that enables you to enter your own image size for the user avatar. Also, the avatar fetching has been improved to pull the closest matching size to the requested one, so the blurry/granular images shouldn't appear anymore.

This is great. Thanks Ve and Arun! Any chance this can be done via the short code as well? I was using a short code in a text box to edit the wording on the Login button? Also, an unanswered question from a previous thread, any idea how to move this into the Top Nav bar? Many thanks as always!

I fully agree, the shortcode could really benefit from this feature too. In the latest plugin release (v2.2.2, just released), there is a new attribute, "avatar_size", which will take the avatar size in pixels. E.g.:

Thanks Arun. That worked! But as you said it was blurry so I will stay with the 50px for now and wait to see if there is an update.
