Thanks for your further feedback on this guys and thanks for having a look into that in-mn. I was hoping it would sort that out in your case. I've pinged the developer. We'll get this looked at.
On both links the sitemaps are actually being generated (check "View Source"), but they seem to have a problem with finding the stylesheets. Stylesheets are non-essential for your sitemaps, they're just there to make the sitemap look nicer to human visitors. Can you please try setting "Include stylesheet with the generated sitemap" to "No"?
If you enabled the "Show dashboard widget" setting, you should have "Sitemaps" dashboard widget. You can use the "Update sitemap now" link on it to regenerate your sitemaps.
plugin fixed. Note i would suggest removing the 1.3.1 from release history as it was breaking the core functionality of plugin. Assuming you havent done already ;)

well...
problem with infinite 1.3.3
Fresh install of multiste 3.2.1, the path was blank. I set it up on /uploads/ but it is not generated nore even created.
I created a blank file named sitemap.xml so the url works but there is nothing in it and it does not update :( even when manually update it from dashboard.
BUT the direct link http://passion-cheval.net/sitemap.xml is not. It still returns a not found, as if it does NOT take in consideration the given pathi, he try to get it in /uploads/
I have the 1.3.3
some old things in database ?
Tried to uninstall it and reactivate but does not change anything.
From what I understand, you're trying to use blogs.dir/1/files as path on your main site? Main sites always use /uploads/ path, so to change it, you'll have to edit your upload paths too. You can do this by going to Network > Sites, then select edit for your main site and set "Upload Path" to "wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files".
Alternatively, you can leave that as it is and use /uploads/ as sitemap path on your main site.
I think I somehow misunderstood the problem as I'm still unable to recreate, so let's try from the top. I apologize if what I ask is very basic, but I would really like to make sure I fully understand the problem. Are you able to uplad files using WordPress media uploader on your main site? If so, in which folder do they end up? Now, is this folder the very same folder you have set up in your settings (full path)?

Huh guys this is strategical huh...
Please help.
Noticed another problem on one subsite : the subdomain has changed (from sitea.domain.com to siteb.domain.com for good reason). But the sitemap adress kept the stieA url.
The main site url still does not work on 2 networks.
tried to uninstall/reinstall, activate deactivate with no success. The uninstall process does not clear the database so all settings remain.
I am really sorry for the delay, but unfortunately I'm unable to recreate the issue at all, with plugin settings per-site or network-wide. I'll be working on a settings hard reset option for the next release, which may help with the issue. In the meanwhile, have you tried recreating your sitemaps after you changed your subdomains? You can do that with e.g. dashboard widget added by the plugin.

Hi in-mn,
Sorry you're experiencing trouble with that. I'm actually noticing the same on a test site, so I'll ask the developer to have a look.
Meanwhile, could you please check to see what your sitemap url path is at:
yourdomain.com/wp-admin/network/admin.php?page=wds_wizard&step=2
If it's blank you'll have to add in the path, likely to your uploads folder, perhaps as follows:
/var/www/wp-content/uploads/sitemap.xml
Not sure if that'll sort it for you but it'll help to see how that's setup.
Thanks,
David

I'm having the same issue. Sitemaps cannot be found on any domain on our multisite network.
Did this version even get tested before it got released?
Member — 10th November 2011 (6 months ago) #
Rolled back to 1.3 all is well again.
Let me know when 1.3.2 is released, tested (please) and fixes 1.3.1's issues.
Thanks

I think i will as well. Sitelinks fixed, but I am finding that sitelinks are self serving linking to page theyre on.
Good plugin though, keep up good work :)

I tried the path - it still errors.
Its not doing a 404 type error, so while it says not found, its not a typical page not found error.

Hi,
The latest plugin release (v1.3.2, just released) should have a fix for this issue as well. Can you please upgrade and see if it helps?
Lifetime member! — 10th November 2011 (6 months ago) #
mmmm no it does not...
I have a blank page on the main site sitemap :
http://passion-cheval.net/sitemap.xml
path : /home/carnets/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/sitemap.xml
other network :
path /home/mgr/public_html/wp-content/uploads/sitemap.xml
url http://mgr-artagency.com/sitemap.xml
both are in "per site" install.
May I torture you ? ;)

Ok sorry me again.
So i think i have a link problem.
the sitemap generated is correct (if i see it with the editor via ftp) and in the correct place, given in the path in settings :
/home/xxxxx/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/sitemap.xml
BUT the direct link http://passion-cheval.net/sitemap.xml is not. It still returns a not found, as if it does NOT take in consideration the given pathi, he try to get it in /uploads/

I precise that this only occure on main site. All subsites sitemaps are absolutly corrects. (http://hippocampe.passion-cheval.net/sitemap.xml for ex)

Hi,
From what I understand, you're trying to use blogs.dir/1/files as path on your main site? Main sites always use /uploads/ path, so to change it, you'll have to edit your upload paths too. You can do this by going to Network > Sites, then select edit for your main site and set "Upload Path" to "wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files".
Alternatively, you can leave that as it is and use /uploads/ as sitemap path on your main site.
Lifetime member! — 25th November 2011 (6 months ago) #
Ok but it does not work whatever the pathi is.
All is set up on /uploads/ and still have a 404...
Also manually updated the sitemap... Still the same :(

yes of course. The problem is that the url remain the same.
I precise that on one network it is by site activated (by the way please tink to separate the index meta tags from sitemap tab next release ^^)
I dont kos wher to search in the database to change it manually, and it is a issue because this site will be mapped soon and open for the custumer....
Lifetime member! — 18th December 2011 (5 months ago) #
This is crazy.
There is NO mention of the false url in the database. I deleted the content of wds option sitemap on the concerned site.
And the false url is STILL present.
Where is it hidden ?
Found it !
edit
Solved.... Manually changed the value.
