@Stef1978: Before you do anything I'd say you need to sort the Javascript errors I'm getting as those could be causing you issues. I've attached what happens in firebug to help in this.
@Stef1978: My advice would be either to add a if IE do this clause in your header to reduce the sidebar you adjusted or to reduce that globally. If you add the sidebar + padding + content that is what is causing the issue.
@Stef1978: We do not do custom work but you are more than welcome to post a job in our job board. Unfortunately this is either due to a custom edit or to your plugins not the theme so it is in the realms of a custom job and not our usual support.
I will offer some pointers though:
1. Why did you have to add the sidebar width to be larger? You have to remember certain IE versions add padding / margins so consider that in sizes.
2. If you do indeed get the issues without custom edits and just with a plugin and without a javascript error, I would be more than happy to look if it's IE 7 or IE 8 - we do not support IE 6. However, I am almost sure you will not.
I made the sidebar larger because my client wanted to add a rectangle banner in it. (336x280)
The weird thing is that it still shows the sidebar on the bottom of the screen when I'm deleting everything in the child.css.
I guess I've messed something up.
But I'll check the jobboard.. Post a question there.
Sadly, I have to make this site compatible with IE6.

@tammie,
Thanks.
I think that javascript error were caused by a newsticker. Not quite sure how to check this. But I removed this plugin.
About the problems with IE.
It seems that it shows the sidebar beneath the rest of the content.
Would be great if you know an answer to that one.
