I have created a custom post type using custompress (testing) with a taxonomy (Tcat). When i go to membership access levels to add permissions, i do not see that custom post type category any where. it doesn't show under post or category.
What has to be done so that this shows up so that i can allow for this content to be controlled by membership?

Hello majaluk,
Membership isn't currently compatible with Custom Post types. You could use the URL groups to protect Custom Post types though. Hope that makes sense :)

Nightmare. Please can this feature be added? I have just setup a site to use Membership with custom post types, and without that feature it is of no use.
Do you have any plans to add this support soon please?
Gutted by this.

Greetings PROPAGANDA,
Thank you for your additional feedback and question, it is greatly appreciated.
I have no idea if this will ever be supported and there is only one way to find out by lead developer input here in which I will see if I can get the lead developer in here with his invaluable insight into this plugin for his advice/advise for us.
Though this may take a bit longer then a normal ticket, I will try to get him in here asap.
Cheers, Joe

I also need this functionality to use the Membership plugin with custom post types. Thanks.

Bumping this thread. It is ridiculous that this isn't a core feature in the Membership plugin by now. Custom Post Types have been a feature of WordPress for YEARS now!

+1 for Custom Post Types. I'm building out a site now that is completely membership driven - would love to use this plugin for that, but without Custom Post Type support, we'll need another alternative. Can you let us know if Membership supports integration with Custom Post Types?

If it's needed then why not just use URL groups to protect the Post Type?
It's easy enough to do. Are you having problems with doing that?
Take care.
