I am looking for a plugin that allows users to upload picture or avatar instead of using the default WP, and somewhat awkward, Gravatar (sorry, Gravatar fans).
Does this plugin "Avatars" resolves this issue?
Does it work with single WP installation?

The Avatars plugin is for Multisite use.

I found the following plugin after posting.
Simple Local Avatars.
Seems like it is quite what I was looking for.
