I have a new wpmu install (care of wp.mu), upgraded to wp3.0.
The main site is working fine - front end and back. Have created a new test site in the backend: Super Admin > Sites as a subdomain e.g. testsite.mainsite.com
Can see the test site in the Sites list but when I click on the "Backend" or "Visit" I get an error
"Oops! Google Chrome could not find testsite.mainsite.com"
Have tried creating a site again. Also tried with firefox but without luck. Am out of ideas ;) Anyone got any pointers? I figure I'm missing something obvious...

Hmm... Is it a sub-domain or sub-directory install? If it's subdomain, then you'll want to make sure that you have wildcard DNS setup (*.example.com) I dunno how wp.mu sets up sites though or what kind of server access you have through them.
Thanks for the bump, unfortunately once wp.mu sites are upgraded there's not much we can do to help beyond the usual here - or a reinstall.
I think masonjames could be on the right track though - it sounds like you might have a simple wp-config issue or wildcard one - have you asked your hosts?
James, it's subdomain. Psek said "Please contact WP.MU support about this." Looking at the wp.mu site it seems to refer support questions here as per http://wp.mu/contact/ .
Is there a table showing what wpmu deve plugins are compatible with wp 3.0? I was trying to save a bit of time by just doing it through wp.mu but am happy to do just do it myself. Heck it's just a test site at this stage so I could do a normal install on my current server.
Please see our reply to your email. If you wish to continue troubleshooting this issue on your own feel free to continue the discussion in this thread. However, as pointed out in our reply to your email, the only assistance we can provide is a complete reinstall. If you have any questions regarding this please reply to the email.
Just you know, since you updated to wp 3.0 you will need to also update all the premium plugins which you can download here. The ones that came with your wp.mu install were desinged for WPMU 2.9.2 as that was the version wp.mu installed.
