Are you actually trying to remove the subtitle from your themes or just not have that specific phrase?

Thanks for your reply. We want to remove the whole subtitle.

I'm afraid I;m a still a bit lost from what you;re trying to do.
- Do you want to remove the php code from the themes that outputs the subtitles? That way no blog has any subtitles on their blogs.
or
- Do you want to remove the "Just Another Wordpress blog" from the blog creation process but yet leave the code in the theme files so that your endusers can put their own in there?

The second one would be best. The line would not appear unless the user inputs their own.
Thanks !

Use New Blog Templates: http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/new-blog-template

It is a setting on each blog's settings page, so save it to what you want in a blog, and make that the default template using the plugin above.
