I'm going to get whacked over the head by Andrew for saying this but you can join for a month, get what you need installed, then cancel your account, and come back later on if and when you feel the need.
What does that mean, and how could I do this if it worked. I don't use the forums anymore and really have no use for these few days i have left, so being able to continue at a different point in time would be ideal when i actually need help again.
Plus, for the upgrades plugin, how exactly do I see who has subscribed to the plugins. Other than going into mysql or going to paypal. Isn't there some way to list who is subscribed?
Thank you for all the great help and awesome plugins!

email andrew and tell him that you want to cancel your account. Just realize that you;re not going to be able to grab any upgrades as they come out. We all know how often wp is updating their code and making changes.
As to the upgrades plugin, there currently isn't a method. I've had on my own todo list a simple output list to see what's occurred but I haven't hit that far down the todo list yet.

You can just cancel your subscription via the PayPal admin panel.

There currently is not a way to see which blogs are subscribed to a package.
If you buy a magazine subscription and cancel it, you still get the rest of the magazines for the period. You just don't get renewed. Nor can you take a 6 month break and pick up the subscription where you left off.

Hi Brett,
If i don't cancel it, it is going to charge me for another month?
Correct. You are automatically charged again for the next subscription period (one month, three months or one year depending on the subscription plan you selected when signing up) until you cancel the subscription.
actually, i have another question. Can i put the forum plugin into the supports plugins. So that users can get support from other users. Like this forum i can get help from other users. If not how do you suggest i go about this. And, i don't know if i like how the new wpmudev plugins page looks, i liked when they were all on one long list so i could ctrl+f (or apple + f)search them.

Not sure how to put it into the support plugin but there's nothing stopping you to activating this plugin on blog #1 and using it for your support forums.
Have to admit though that since there's no RSS feed not no ability to display one single front page, it'll be kind of a poor choice for a support forum though. I'd go for either the yellow sword fish or one of bbpress.

Hiya,
Can i put the forum plugin into the supports plugins. So that users can get support from other users.
The forums plugin that's available on this site allows blog administrators to create one or more forums on their blog. Other than using the forums plugin to create a support forum on the main blog I don't really understand how it can be 'put into the supports plugin'.
i liked when they were all on one long list so i could ctrl+f (or apple + f)search them.
We'll be added a proper search engine withing a couple of months.

but if i cancel would i be able to resume my last 8 days at a later point?
Member — 30th September 2008 (3 years ago) #
Um, no.
Else you would have people paying for 30 days, and spreading them over 30 months, for example.
AFAIK, if you cancel then it runs out through the current subscription period and just doesn't renew.

i still need to know when my subscription ends. or how to end it before it renews
Member — 5th October 2008 (3 years ago) #
You should have that information in your PP account, which is where you can also turn off the subscription as well.
