hi imaginetek,
do you have an URL to see that? It is hard to imagine, what the problem or the solution can be without more information ... ;-)

unfortunately it is for a client and behind a password for development. Should be a no brainer, the href is a page, however when the image is clicked it opens up an empty frame which would normally be the full size image (if that was the link). Does that make sense?

does that happen with every picture or only with some?
If only with some: then I would "replace" the picture - there may have been a problem when uploading the picture so the picture which is supposed to be shown has been corrupted (happened to some of my pictures last week).
if that is always happening and the link to the picture really exists (and is not camouflaged by e.g. the download privacy of a plugin like Membership) then I would assume there is a script like for a gallery or slideshow interfering with your pictures (e.g. I use the plugin File Gallery - and when I click on a picture it starts a slideshow - no matter what the original link of the picture was)

Greetings imaginetek,
How did you upload your pictures? FTP or Media library?
Are you using a direct complete URL to the image?
If you uploaded into the media library, did you simply copy and paste the URL from there into your browser and it does not come up still?
Please advise.
Cheers, Joe

hi Joe, initially i was loading the images using the media library, but also tried linking directly to an image that i uploaded via ftp. It is a basic link to a page, but when the image is clicked on it brings up a blank pop up. I just upgraded to 3.41, so not sure if there are any issues there.
here is the ink code. pretty basic. i removed the rel="post_39", same thing.
<img width="960" height="400" title="banner-1b" alt="" rel="post_39" src="http://expandiverse.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/banner-1b2.png">
Any help is appreciated!

I do have a gallery, does not include these images, so I am wondering if Emanaku's comments might shed a clue?

Greetings imaginetek,
Thank you for the additional input and yes Emanaku could certainly be on to something. I am definitely not discounting his input just coming from a different angle working with him in hopes to resolve the issue you are having.
Can you pull up this URL directly?

I tried but get the user name and password prompt as you had mentioned earlier that it is password protected.
Also any progress with Emanaku's suggestion?
Please advise.
Cheers, Joe
