had a thread where a nice guy from the forum shared his modded akismet plugin but I can't find it again :-(
I was jsut wondering if it is still working as I end up with laods of comments waiting for moderation but when I click the check for spam button they get marked as spam so somehow this moded plugin seems not be working anymore...

thanks Phil. Will see if WPCDN will pop in and confirm its still working.
as a sidenote: is there an option to improve the search function of the forum? I frequently have to manually scroll through my profile and hope to spot a certain thread by the thread title...
Thanks Phil, thats a really clever idea. Way better than the built-in search, thanks for sharing...
You might want to promote that search link, or maybe incorporate it into your site? i.e. as a widget, etc...

bbPress search isn't very good to be honest :-/ I actually set up a custom search in Google Chrome to more easily search using Google.
E.g., http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=site:premium.wpmudev.org+akismet+typepad
