I like how Edublogs makes "Forums" available only to supporters. I'm wondering how to set up forums on my WPMU install to work with the supporter plugin?
Question 1. I assume you recommend using Andrew's Forums plugin over bbPress for this?
Question 2. I tried installing the forums plugin, but I'm not sure how to make it only accessible to supporters. Any clues?

The Forums 1.5.1 version description says that it's compatible with the Supporters plugin. But after looking at the config file it only supports Upgrades plugin.
Forums has been put on hold since we've been developing other stuff - however I think that supporter capabilities may have been built in and I can guarantee you a new release in the coming months.

On iPhone. Excuse shortness.
1 Two different tasks. Andrew's for individual blogs. Bbpress for site wide.
2 Should be option on site admin - options - towards bottom.
Hope helps drmike

Hiya,
I'm afraid you would have to edit the plugin to make it work with the supporter plugin. It works with the upgrades plugin out of the box though.
Note that a lot of the features you see on Edublogs are customized.
Thanks,
Andrew

You're right. We will either remove that text or update the forums plugin.
Thanks.

Would be nice if you updated the plugin. There's nothing out there in the plugin world that even comes close to the simplicity of the Forums plugin.

We'll update the Forums plugin with Supporter compatibility in a few weeks.
Thanks,

Wouldn't the new supporter plugin and it;s ability to assign plugins to blogs be helpful? At least that's how I read the description.

Hate to drag up old posts........ But is it any closer to having supporter support?
Or are you releasing with the forthcoming Supporter update?
