I have submitted an application with paypal for an app id for chained payments. They have come back asking for a previous app id which would save them asking so many questions about it.

Hiya Ayzola,
Aaron would probably be the main one here to answer that and he's out for a couple days. I've marked this for his attention so if no one else is able to respond he'll be around as soon as he's able.
They now say that for chained payments that I need to give my business registration details and as I am just registered as self employed at the momment I won't be able to do that, so I think I'll have to stick with allowing express checkout only and creating a membership option to allow people to use the shop so I make some money that way rather than on % of sales. I don't think that can be done with subscriber, or can it?

I am also registered as a sole trader, but have a registered business name, cost €20 from CRO, and this is what I used to apply for my paypal app with no problems, though I am still waiting to hear back, over a month now, so I am hoping I'll hear from them soon.

Is this because the example form given in the "howto" includes something like "as per previously approved application Marketpress" ?

They will ask for a lot more information.
