Marketpress - add page numbers to next page

Hello, I have a feature request for Marketpress product listings.

When there are multiple products, the page has a next and previous link on the bottom. It would be good to have the number of page available listed beside the next and previous links so clients have a reference.

Let me know if you want more details.

Thanks.

    Hello @xod Media

Greetings and thanks for posting on the forums.

You mean that along with the pagination on MarketPress pages, page number should also come along with the previous and next buttons.

Have I got it right ?

    Please advise.

    Cheers, PC

Hi PC, yes, you are correct. Or at least as an option.

    Thanks.

    Hiya,

Thanks for confirming that. I have sent this as a feature request to our lead developer.

It will be good to have an option where one can select Page number / Previous Next Etc for pagination.

    Cheers, PC

Any update on this? Been looking for this solution all over the Forum. I have a client requesting this also. Just to add more specifics, on the product list by Cateogry page, in addition to the Previous and Next buttons, would like to have a list like Page 1 of 12 - 1 | 2 | 3 | etc.

This is very common and important for catalog sites. My website:

    Thank you!

Hello there @olidax, I hope you're well today!

This is now possible with custom coding...
We have included the 'mp_products_nav' filter in the template-functions.php file in the MarketPress plugin, so you could use something like what is described in this tutorial: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-add-numeric-pagination-in-your-wordpress-theme/ and then instead of applying it to posts, use the filter I mentioned above to replace the previous/next links with your paged navigation.

    I hope that helps!

    Cheers,
    Ari.

      Hi.

Can you explain in more detail how to achieve the steps you outlined above?

      Thanks.

Can you explain in more detail how to achieve the steps you outlined above?

I have the exact same question/issue. I have found the mp_products_nav function in template_functions.php and have tried several variations to plug the function in there without success.

btw~ I am (successfully) using the linked tutorial function (http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-add-numeric-pagination-in-your-wordpress-theme/ ) to achieve page number pagination on Q&A archives and on posts archive but it doesn't work with my product list page.

What is the secret-sauce? Paged navigation is a vital feature.

Hi Michelle and thanks for your response.

I plugged your snip into a new page and even changed to twentyfourteen and I'm still only getting a previous next navigation.... no number links.

    Hey joe!

Would it be possible for me to take a closer look at your settings? If this is ok, just grant me temporary admin access to your site by clicking "Grant Access" button in the WPMU DEV Dashboard Settings from the following path and reply on this thread after granting it?

Admin -> WPMU DEV -> Support -> Support Access Tab

If you have not installed WPMU DEV Dashboard plugin yet, kindly do that here : http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/wpmu-dev-dashboard/ and then allow access as per the above process.

Before you do that, however, there's one thing to try with the snippet I gave you. Change paginate="true" to paginate="1". I'm not super optimistic, but it worked for another member, so it's worth a shot. :)

    Thanks, joe!

    Change paginate="true" to paginate="1".

I read that one too and tried it. No luck. Same result. I turned on access for you. The page with the issue is at: http://dredgepress.com/products. Thank you for taking a look!

    Hi Michelle,

When you are looking around you will see the pagination I'm looking for on these pages:
    http://dredgepress.com/topic/all/ -WP posts
    http://dredgepress.com/questions/ -Q&A wpmu plugin
    http://dredgepress.com/list-events/ -Events+ wpmu plugin

I want the http://dredgepress.com/store/products/ and the http://dredgepress.com/products/ page and any other lists in the store pages to display the same pagination. -MarketPress wpmu plugin

fyi~ The site is pre-production so you can switch out to a wp default theme for testing if needed.

Looking forward to your response....Thanks again!

    Hey there, joe!

So I just noticed that you're not the person who opened this thread, which I should have checked earlier, which means I don't have the support access link available, I'm seeing the OP's info instead of yours. Would you mind opening a new thread? You can link back to this one, but that way we'll actually be able to log in and check.

Thanks, and sorry for this delay! Post back here when that thread is open, and if I'm on shift, I'll grab it right away. Thanks, joe!
