After a member has created a blog, the member blogs are not finding the blog name in the header? The footer changes to each individual blog name, but the header keeps the main blog title? Am I missing something in Admin? or???

Hiya,
BuddyPress themes are not meant to be used on user blogs. They can be but issues such as the one you discovered will popup. That's just the way it is I'm afraid.
The good news is that there are hundreds of WP and WPMU themes out there to choose from. Our theme pack alone has over a hundred.
Andrew, I downloaded your Corporate Theme and activated it in the member blog. I'm getting a completely blank screen. Where should the theme files have been placed? Do you think I may have uploaded a file to the wrong folder? I see the choice in the admin to chose the corporate for members...but when going to his site, the page is blank? I'm sure it's something simple...??
thank you tons for the help...
edit: never mind...just needed to read the instructions!! du huh!

Hiya,
Can you provide us with a link to a page where this is happening?
Thanks,
Andrew

What specific version are you running? I remember a bug about this but it was eons ago.

Sounds like an issue with your theme. Is the site name harcoded in header.php? It should be calling get_option() like on your footer.php file.
If it's with all themes then it has to be a plugin issue.

If this is a plug-in issue then the BP plug might be the culprit?

Any help would be great.
Side Note: I mentioned this over at the BuddyPress forum and they mentioned that I might want to slide over here and inquire?
A link to a page? Just click on one of the member blogs on the site, see the header not picking up the blog name and the footer doing so...
ideas?

That would be your problem then. Select a different theme for use on the user blogs.
Thanks,
Andrew

That fixed the problem, but it that's not very flexible (in the flexible world we live).
