Hey guys and gals.
I'm new here on WPMUDEV, but have already implemented quite a few of the smaller plugins on a site I'm in development on. The Members Directory plugin is exactly what I need, except, I'm using a single WordPress install and not a MU site.
So my question is if anyone has successfully integrated this plugin, or one similar to it, on a single WP install? It doesn't work, and I have yet to dive into the php of the plugin, but I was hoping there was a simple work around.
I need the search feature for users, as well as the ability to add custom fields to the user's profile page on set up.

The plugin is designed specifically for use with Multisite, I'm afraid. However, the plugin's code is all contained in a single file and could possibly be customized for single site use by a developer. Perhaps you might consider looking into that option?
Just to mention though, BuddyPress provides very similar features as well as full customizable profile fields.
If you're looking for some added social networking capabilities, it'll provide those by default. Perhaps something like that would work for you?

Thanks David, I'm currently looking into using BuddyPress for this application as it may be the simplest route. To take. I've been creating customized WP sites for years and wanted to stay within that comfort zone, but hey you'll never grow if you don't step outside of that zone.
