I use Ultracart as my payment gateway. In the past (with other membership plugins), I've been able to redirect someone after checkout to a custom registration page to create their login and password.
After all, there are some other specifics I need to collect upon registration.
Is there no way to do this without having to use one of the payment gateways listed?

Hey saengjwi.
I'm still getting use to the Membership plugin myself, I know there is a new version under development as well.
I'll have to ping a couple of others on this one.
Whilst signing up with the Membership plugin they create their details at the same time, so they don't get redirected to another page after payment for account creation details.
Is this what you mean?
Take care.

Yes, it's helpful that they create their login and password while checking out...but if I use Ultracart and that isn't one of the supported gateways, I have to find workarounds.
Do you have any idea what other gateways will be supported when the new version is launched?

Hey again.
I'm sorry I don't yet have all the confirmed details as the developer is actively working on it. You can make feature suggestions here:
http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/forum/feature-suggestions
The developer then assesses the feature based on demand from members.
Take care
