Hi gang,
I'm gonna be the first to admit that I'm starting to think I'm the problem - but regardless... just when I think everything is working great - I get a note from someone saying "Hey, what if I dont' WANT to use facebook to loggin or register my account in your network?"
So I look - and sure enough - it's set to allow manual registration - but there's absolutely no where that it actually lets you do that. I've searched everywhere in my site - and even /wp-signup.php just jumps back to the Facebook Connect page without any option to input the information manually.
Like I said, i'm sure it's something I'm missing - but if someone would be kind enough to offer me some help. hehe, I've searched everywhere I can search for a solution. *sigh*
Cheers!

Hi BigCat,
Ultimate Facebook has the potential to take over the registration depending on how you setup the options. This one may have to do with the "Force users to register with Facebook" option in Facebook > Facebook Connect section.
Could you please check to be sure that's unticked as illustrated here?

Ok, so I re-installed Ultimate Facebook - and *Poof* it appears to be working just fine. Talk about frustrating (and releaving) all at the same time.

Is there no way to pay month-to-month for a membership around here?

Hiya BigCat,
Glad it's working for ya. We do have a monthly option for the membership here. You should be able to edit your account anytime by going to the following link:

So, I pay 40$ a month (or so) for tech support for one product? Does the plugin work differently depending on this $40/month? Is there some functionality that is hampered if I don't subscribe?
Alternatively, I could pay more - for a full membership. The ad I saw said: Like having your own developer. How does that work if I am looking for a specific functioning plugin that you don't already have? I think I've asked that before. But I'm considering seeking out PHP/Wordpress plugin developers on ELANCE - I'd like to put my money where it will best serve my needs.
Obviously it may cost more to have my own plugins developed - but I think it would be of value to WPMUdev to have new plugin ideas they could benefit from ... It would be nice to know there's someone reliable and affordable to call on for specific needs. What I'm creating is HUGE in scope - so I need to be able to add things with a consistent feel/function/release.
To make a long story short - I believe I NEED a team like WPMUdev, I'm just terrified to commit on something that I have to spend money on. Turning a hobby into a money making venture is risky for some of us. Maybe I need to be able to explain the scope of my project without risk of it being stolen and run with - without me? I dunno... but I have to start somewhere. It would be of HUGE benefit to me if I could simply say... "Hey, I need a plugin that does (THIS)." and someone say - "OK, it's $80.00 and it will be up and running within the next 3 weeks.

Hiya BigCat,
Our roadmap here is completely decided by member requests, so if you have something specific you'd like to see - post up a request for it. If several members are interested and chime in, it'll get added to our list.
If you have a very particular need with a specific delivery a date you're best off finding a developer to assist you. Elance is a good choice, we also have our own job boards here:

Hope that helps.
