Hi Guys,
I've just uploaded a new version of the Multi-DB package. I've labeled it as a beta since I'd like a few people to give it a try before I release a final version for 2.7.
Please post any issues you have with the new version in this thread.

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method wpdb::has_cap()
Previous versions as well had trouble with the fact that certain plugins (including Buddypress) use deltadb to update themselves. I am not sure if that is a function that needs to be addressed as well with this version.
I signed up here today specifically for this particular plugin.
Thank you for making it available, it alone was worth so much more than the $50 it cost me to join.
I am running buddypress right now, so does that mean I should not yet attempt the multi-db setup? (site is not live, trying to figure stuff out before I mess with my main site)
b.t.w
I would pay good money and be a really good guinea pig if someone would be kind enough to install this for me. (I have dedicated servers) I've tried contacting all the 'main' companies around wpmu and either I am to small for the job or to big, or everyone is booked solid which must be a really good sign as I am fairly new to mu.

Hiya,
The snag with buddypress seems to be with upgrading it. The version of Multi-DB we release for 2.8 will be completely recoding and have all of the existing issues fixed. Unfortunately it's taking longer than we expected so the version we release for 2.7 will just be a 2.7 compatibility update.
Andrew, I posted a question to you in another thread that had to do with all in one seo, and I asked if it was still true that multi-db is not supported by 2.7 and then I found this thread.
the reason I need to know is because I am getting an error so far with only the all in one seo. I have had to uninstall all in one to have things working right. it is the only problem I seem to have so far.
I did have it installed already when my programmer set up multi-db, so when I saw the error I thought maybe some tables were missing. so I tried to uninstall aio seo and re install it again, but still had the same issues.
I get this error, only when I try to add a post;
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/ismyblog/public_html/wp-content/mu-plugins/all_in_one_seo_pack.php:937) in /home/ismyblog/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 690

There is at least one function missing:
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method wpdb::has_cap()Previous versions as well had trouble with the fact that certain plugins (including Buddypress) use deltadb to update themselves. I am not sure if that is a function that needs to be addressed as well with this version.

dear andrew
are you sure about multi-db 2.7 beta edition?
i want to install it
if its not sure how long multi-db2.7 take to come.

As I use buddypress, does this mean I should not install the multi-db plugin?
If this is the case, will we be notified when there is a version that is able to work with buddypress?

Hi Guys,
I'll have beta 2 out tomorrow. As a reminder, a beta (of anything) should never be used on your live site.
Thanks,
Andrew

Any opinion on Hostgator as a host?

I've never used them myself.
There are tons of threads over on the MU Forums about hosting though:

Hiya,
Are you using the version of AIO SEO we uploaded earlier this week or the older version?
Thanks,
Andrew

Thanks Andrew.
I had an older version, made the update and works like a charm :)

Just a quick heads up that the multi-db page still shows as 2.6. The 2.7 version does download.
