Hi Guys,
We've had plenty of reports that Multi-DB doesn't work with BuddyPress. So I decided to sit down and figure out what the problem is today. Turns out I actually can't find a problem. As long as I add the bp tables (below) to db-config.php it seems to work just fine.
Can I get someone interesting in using Multi-DB with BuddyPress to confirm this?

Alright then, I've uploaded Multi-DB 2.7.5 Beta. It should allow you to use Multi-DB with BuddyPress without having to add the tables to db-config.php.
Thank you for doing it now instead waiting for 2.8 since WP planned to merge the code. I am wondering how will it impact your developments with plugins.
@deafnation, not sure if I get your comment correctly, but WP/WPMU is in no way getting merged with v2.8
Last I heard they're not even sure themselves when it'll be (guesses were somewhere at the end of this year, but that's the soonest it would happen - btw: NOT OFFICIAL, just to be sure :) ).
There's been a thread about the compatibility of the plugins for once WP/WPMU do merge and I don't remember it all perfectly, but I know that they'll deal with that when we get there.
One of the developers on this site said Multi-DB will not updated for buddypress until WPMU go to 2.8. That's why I appreciated the compatibility for WPMU 2.7 instead waiting for WPMU 2.8. Thanks!

It works great on both of my sites. I did have an issue at first, but realized a few tables in db-config.php were either missing or misspelled.

That's seems to be very good news.
In which order should it be installed; MultiDB first or BuddyPress?

It shouldn't really matter. If you install BuddyPress first then be sure to copy all of the BP tables to your global db.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hiya,
@deafnation:
I'm not quite sure I understand either I'm afraid. However, we'll definitely update our plugins when the time comes :)
As for when the merge will happen... I agree with illutic 100%. I'm thinking it will either be towards the end of this year or early next year.
Thanks,
Andrew
