Hi,
I worked on the Multi-DB and it seems everything went fine. When I go to /wp-content/scripts/move-blogs.php, I have the table without warnings anymore. In the table new db column, there is the green "exists". On the other hand in the status column it is all "table not in new db"
Does this mean that everything is configured correctly and there is no risk of running this script. I am just afraid of messing thing up and want to be sure.
Thanks

Greetings akasya,
Thank you for this significant question.
How about throwing up a screen shot for us please?
I firmly believe all is well but I will still take a look.
Please advise.
Cheers, Joe

Hi Joe,
Attached is the screenshot.
However while searching the forums, I learned that BackupBuddy do not support the multi-db. I do not know if I shall proceed with this. I also added a comment in one of the forum discussions about this. What is the best or possible way to secure backups of a multi-site, multi-db network. Are there any other plugins than BackupBuddy for this or any manual way to do this?
Thanks

Hi,
The attachment is denied due to size. I am sending the initail part of it. It goes like this for all the tables and then it finishes with "Ignore any errors below this line"

Greetings akasya,
Thank you for the screen shot and everything looks great concerning the MultiDB installation.
In regards to Backup Buddy and not recognizing Multi DB installations, perhaps you would prefer the Snapshot plugin or my personal favorite though I admit i have not tested Snapshot extensively, but to date I offer you to download in what is in my opinion the greatest Database Management software of all time Navicat.
Also if using a cPanel host, the cPanel backup is quite effective.
Thank you for being a WPMU Dev Member!

Hi Joe,
Thanks a lot again. I will definitely try Snapshot plugin. So do you think this can backup and restore the whole multisite multi-db? I will also check out Navicat.
I just made a backup with cPanle and I have a zip file called bacup.... and a file called cpbackup-exclude.conf and saved them to my home directory. Are they enough for me to restore the whole multisite, multidb network in case a disaster happen. I actually dont know how to restore it, but I just want to be sure things are safe. For example can you migrate my whole network to your hosting plan only with these files and restore it fully. Is this possible technically? Or what is exactly needed in such a scenario?
Also I would like to learn one more thing. I am happy with BackupBuddy at the moment, I need not more than 100 subsites and it will be a long time before my network reaches much more than that. Is it okay to move to multi-db at a later time. For example when the network becomes 500 sites. Does it matter to do this transition when one has 5 sites or 500 sites.
Thanks a lot again. You are a life saver.
Best.
