I make some blogs by multi-domains.
It is not necessary that I make blogs by multi-domains.
So, I delete these files of multi-domains.

##Before I delete files of multi-domains.
When I clicked " New Post ", It was shown after 3sec.
##After I delete files of multi-domains.
When I clicked " New Post ", It was shown after 1sec.
The multi-domains.php makes my site to be heavy.
After I delete multi-domains.php, My site is comfortable.
And, I can use Blogs(Multi-Domains).
I want to use by this setting.
Is this no problem ?

Hiya,
Just wanted to let ya know I've asked Ulrich to come by and comment on this. He'll be by shortly (might be a bit longer than normal as still the weekend).
Yes, we are aware of a little performance issue in the admin, due to the style-sheets added for cross-domain login. You should not have any performance issue in the public part of the website.
After I delete multi-domains.php, My site is comfortable.

Yes, as long as you don't remove 'sunrise.php', there will be no problem.
NP. I am working on finding a way to improve the cross-domain login.
Yes !!
I want the cross-domain login.
If User post a comment in a blog of other domain( multi-domains or domain-mapping ), Avatar is not shown.
Is it solved?
Any idea when the stylesheet bug will be resolved? I'm using a different domainmapping plugin for now (the one Ron & Donncha made), but I really want the cross-domain login this plugin offers..
Since that domainmapping plugin doesn't support multi-domains out of the box (because that's what the seperate plugin is for, right?) that won't do. I need to map multiple domains to several sites in my install and Donncha's plugin does doe that out-of-the-box.
@chiga:
I looked at your website and in fact it is not a bug. It is the way it is expected to work. BuddyPress avatars are never shown in the comments list on a Multisite (the default gravatars are shown instead). I found an article which describes how to show BuddyPress avatars in the comments: http://www.amberweinberg.com/how-to-add-buddypress-avatars-to-wordpress-mu/. You may want to try that.
@Hiranthi:
You want to map several domains (e.g. domain1.com, domain2.com, etc) to the same blog (e.g. mysite.com/blog), right? Our Domain Mapping plugin does that. You just have to change one line in the code.
The Multi-Domains plugin is not about Mapping Domains to a blog. It allows your users (or you) to use several domains names to create blogs on a Multisite install (e.g. you can have blogs like domain1.com/blog, domain2.com/anotherblog, domain3.com/oneblogagain, etc).
You can find more information on the original topic where users requested this plugin: http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/multiple-domain-option-for-wpmu.
Appreciate the explanation (and will look into it when I have the time), but the initial question on when the stylesheet-issue is getting fixed still isn't answered.
You want to map several domains (e.g. domain1.com, domain2.com, etc) to the same blog (e.g. mysite.com/blog), right? Our Domain Mapping plugin does that. You just have to change one line in the code.
Oh this can be done is it? I thought there was no such provision for having multiple domains point to same blog and I instead used redirection. Can you let me know what line needs to be changed in the code?
@Hiranthi: I am afraid I cannot give an ETA.
I think that "issue" is more a trade-off than a bug. The stylesheets are necessary to make the cross domain login work for this plugin. But, since there are several ones, it is causing a small delay in the admin pages loads (which none noticed, but @chiga).
It will be fixed when (and if) I find a better way to manage the cross-domain login.
I think this hardly noticeable delay should not prevent you from using the plugin.

I wasn't aware of this issue. Is it posted somewhere on the forum?
Member — 29th November 2010 (1 year ago) #

Are you using the Avatars plugin (http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/avatars)?
Member — 1st December 2010 (1 year ago) #
No, I am using BuddyPress.
Sorry, I had to say this.
The avatar what I said is BuddyPress's avatar.

@chiga
do you have a link to your website, where I can see the error?
Hi @Hiranthi
There is no issue with our domain mapping plugin (http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/domain-mapping).
This topic is about the multi domains plugin (http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/multi-domains). And the issue reported here will not prevent that plugin to work correctly (@chiga is the only user to report a performance issue).
Member — 2nd December 2010 (1 year ago) #
Sorry, I meant the multi-domain one then,I guess (iow the one with the stulesheet issue).
Developer — 2nd December 2010 (1 year ago) #
@Hiranthi
If you want to replace the Donncha's plugin, use our Domain Mapping plugin: http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/domain-mapping). It also has cross domain login.

Hi, Ulrich
My site( BuddyPress ) is this.
http://myhp.ne.jp
My test account is " mchiga "
http://myhp.ne.jp/members/test/
I try to post a comment this site (using multi-domains).
( Email of this Comment = Email of "mchiga" account in BP )
http://chiba-ken.jp/suigoumai/25#comment-2
Avatar of " mchiga " is Koala.
It is not shown in site( multi-domains ).
Cross-domain login makes to solve this issue ?
