Hi,
I'm a little confused. When I click on the menu link for Multisite compatible plugin's this one shows up in the list. When I go to the page for the plugin - multisite isn't listed as one of the WP options for it.
Is this incompatible?
My path is Home Menu >> Plugins >> Multisite & Buddypress >> All Multisite Plugins >> Scroll way down
Thanks

Hiya!
This isn't Multisite compatible I'm afraid. Thanks for pointing this out for us - I'll make sure that gets fixed!
Cheers,

@Phil,
Is there any way to make it multi-site ready? I was thinking of having the Q&A listed on the main site and hyper-local subdomain sites would have the same questions but only answers specific to the area.
If not multi-site, would buddypress work? Basically hoping to have a master list of questions which are then filtered down by topical group. Thanks!

Any update on this?? It would only make sense to be multi-site compatible...

I don't think so cdiary, I replied to this thread in late August, but there has been no further corresponding. I, for one, would like to allow questions to be asked and mirror these identical questions throughout a multisite setup. The set up I am creating would have questions which are generally relevant across the sites and answered specifically within each subdomain. So, I am still interested in how to perform this.

Hiya,
Sorry for the confusion here. I've just double-checked and it IS compatible with Multisite so you should be able to use it fine in your network.
Let us know in a new thread if you have any issues.

Meh, I just tried it and it didn't do anything.
It appears that, even though I'm using a theme from the Farm Themes pack, it's not compatible. The meta links are hard coded. That pretty much makes this useless unless I go through each theme in that pack that I'm using to check & edit the code.
At least we know it's multi-site compatible with some themes.
Thanks Phil

Corey, which of the Farms pack themes doesn't it change on? The meta widget is a WordPress Core widget and is therefore not hardcoded into the themes but is part of WordPress itself.

@NetPotion, you're right, it won't work on any theme which is hard-coded, but as Phil says it should take care of any that use the default meta widget.
We can look into updating ones in the farms pack that may be hardcoded. I'll ask Richie about that oe.
Thanks!

A large percentage of themes out there have what's called "default sidebars". If no widget is in the sidebar, then they display some hardcoded ones, and meta is usually one of those. Just add the meta widget to the sidebar and the hardcoded one will disappear.
