Hi, I purchased Q&A and have been testing it because it will not send my registering users their passwords. I've tried deactivating other plugins, did not work.
I tried registering users through my site.com/wp-admin which worked smoothly, they got the email in seconds. This suggests that there is something wrong with the plugin and I would appreciate it if you could sort it out please.

More importantly, I do not want users to register to ask a question. Is there a way of doing this?
If you set this, then the other problem will be solved too.
Just disable Visitors to ask questions if you don't want them to ask at all, or assign an author to their questions if you want them to be able to ask questions, but not required to register.
For the first case, remove related capabilities under "Assign Capabilities" field for Visitors. Please see attached screenshot.
For the second case, set "After Visitor Submits a Question" as "Question is assigned to a user", letting visitor ask a question (i.e. check "Ask questions" box in this case only).

Hi Oz,
I am not sure I understood your question. Q&A does not register users to your website itself. Normal Wordpress registration process is valid there.
Or do you mean subscribing to questions and answers?

I see that you've registered in order to ask a test question and have created an account under the name of 'puck'.
Did you get a password emailed to yourself?
When I register for the website using start smarter.co.uk/wp-admin I get sent a password to my email address.
When I register through the referral of the Q&A plugin I do not get sent an email.
Why could this be? More importantly, I do not want users to register to ask a question. Is there a way of doing this?
