OK so got the plugin Snapshot working on Multisite MultiDB. Mentioned an issue on another thread. That's not resolved yet.
But the naming scheme is also an issue. In order to know what zip to download we have to go back and forth to the WordPress dashboard. Yet on a timed backup that only shows the latest, so its still a guessing game. On the other hand, if we could NAME the snapshots ourselves, and just say append the time and AFTER the time some random text string to ensure uniqueness of the filename (or not?), then at least we could see what snapshots were for what databases....
Truthfully if each site was stored in its own directory based on the subdomain name or the ID... that would solve this.

Hello aoirthoir,
I will bring this to the attention of Paul. The name of Snapshot already has the date stamp, something like this: snapshot-1334636281-120417-041801-e488c48f.zip (today's date).

I hope Paul would have more insights for you. I will be moving this in as a feature request.

What I was thinking there could be in the snapshots directory subdirs for the blog names or IDs then in there all of the subdirs that snapshot needs. Too tired to look at the code right now. So far, other than the couple of things, I love it.

Yeah I thought about doing sub directories sort of like the way WordPress uses the /wp-content/blogs.dir/ hierarchy. But was worried this created too much fragmented content. No ruling it out. I realize many members run very large Multisite installs. So having all the snapshot files in single folder will be an issue. One issue with this is that you could have multiple snapshot items setup for a single site. So having these all intermingled would not help. I'll look into this morning for the next snapshot release.
Thanks as always. Great comments in all your posts. Keep it coming.

Thanks Brother.
Perhaps add it as an option and explain the repurcussions.
Great plugin though. Love it. FINALLY one that I can use. I will be working on some shell scripts and cron jobs to pull (not push?) the backups to another location for added peace of mind.
