I finnigle with css (scuse my silly term) but can't seem to figure out how to adjust the .slide-container class height or which element to adjust so I can insert my images for portrait viewing instead of lanscape.
The theme seem to be designed more for portrait than for landscape.
When I change the height say from 350px to 600px or so in the .slide-container element it disappears. I am working in Firebug and what I mean is the height value will disappear there. You can check my attachment to see what I mean.
Again I am no css expert so pardon my strange experiments.
I have no idea how you guys used this theme but the files I downloaded had an incorrect style.css inside the sleekphoto-child folder which made the child theme not recognize the parent theme.
Simply changed this:
Template: wp-skeleton to this: Template: sleekphoto
@Ovidiu: Yes sorry mistake uploading I actually uploaded the wrong version before we fixed the child theme - it worked fine just as the parent which was what the designer originally did and I then made the child after. I have now remedied that and my apologies. We made it a child and parent theme after and I was having a dim moment sorry.
@drdave: Hmm you will have to do a lot of changes including CSS and editing files - it's not something I'd recommend doing without being cool adjusting code and files - are you ok with that as it's a bit more than just firebug changing?
Have checked the style.css in the child theme and it has the change referred to by Ovidu above but the child theme is still not appearing in my list of themes.
Have you actually tested this theme in Internet Explorer? It looks terrible... You really do need to test your products before releasing it. This isn't a free service after all.
By the way, the CSS file still has not been fixed or updated. The child theme do not work unless you manually edit the CSS file. Again, you need to test it before you release it.
@AdamGold negative. Maybe if used in conjunction with .slide-container class is my guess. I made the actual change to dropdown.js height but only in Firebug I changed .slide-container height to match the height in dropdown.js . When I have more time I will make the actual change in the slide-container and see what happens.
@all: I'm going to be going through this theme in the next few days and make sure things like Internet Explorer work. Our apologies if you are experiencing any browser issues.
The child theme should work 'out of the box' so to speak now so if anyone is getting an issue with that please redownload and let me know. It should have been working as of the time I said but just incase redownload so we're all on the same page.
@demonmedi: Just checking as I've not entered testing yet for your issues reported but what version of Internet Explorer as we do not support IE 6 only IE 7 / 8. I will I can assure you be testing in those and fixing if I find any issues.
@drdave: If you do want to do customisation like that we can look at it maybe at that time. I may have a look some point as to how it can be a little more flexible in height but won't be until it's at least stable on other fronts as a theme.
@ChrisMc: It should show up just as a normal WordPress theme and work with Supporter assuming you've set up the right configuration. What configuration are you using and maybe this is a supporter configuration issue? I could be wrong of course in that just trying to suggest.
Hi,
Would you please explain how to configure the page for front page and the page for blog?
I selected the "About" page as my front page from the theme option, and on the Reading Options I selected About as front page and Blog as blog page, but its not working. I can not configure the blog page.

@Jamshid: You did not get a response as I was asleep :) I will however do my best to help now. You can see our support times to the side of the posting box and please consider those. I don't know to be honest what you mean as page for front I assume you are setting using settings > reading?
1. Select page for front page
2. Create new page called blog
3. Link in blog/news template to that page
4. Should all work
We have no rtl version but we do plan to at some point deliver that for all our themes - we have no date for the ETA on that though.
Another Question: On the theme option >> Slider >> Select display size of featured image, it has 4 sizes, full, large, medium & thumbnail, is the theme resizing the images? I've tried all of them and all are showing full size images.

@Jamshid: No it is set to the size you set the image under your settings for your blog. Fairly sure that only works if using pages though not full images.
How to reduce the number of posts in slide show? I've set it to manual and linked only 2 images and set it to show only 2 posts in the slide show but it shows 5 slides.
@Tammie: I've found how to edit the number of slides on homepage.
I had to edit the feature-slider.php on library/components/ folder.
Now I have 2 sides only, but after the second slide it will show one blank slide and then loop back to the first slide, how can I remove this blank slide so that after 2nd slide, it loops back to 1st slide?

@all: I just did quite the update to this theme here is the changelog:
- Changed hover style for stronger colour in footer
- Rounded footer widget area
- Added padding to footer
- Fixed slideshow to allow correctly you to have 5 or less slides (currently there is a fixed number of 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5)
- Added slower slideshow speed just so it is readable if text
- Fixed All not working for categories
- Fixed single categories not being picked up
I do have more testing to do with this one but wanted to make sure you all had this update as some critical things relating to the slideshow there.
Just let me know if any issues and I will be carrying on the checking tomorrow on this theme to make sure.

@Guize: No you'd need to create a new child to do this - easy enough to do just give it a different name: Sleekphoto ChildOne etc. Then just link up to each blog their version and keep files in their version.

@Joseff: No suggestions as themes and plugins really are a different thing. You can add a slideshow or something like that to create a portfolio but it's really theme related not plugin such as in this one's case it has a slideshow and a post query which makes the layout the rest is CSS. Maybe there is a plugin for a slideshow you could use but personally I find the core jQuery far better to use. A portfolio plugin if there was on would have other options but I am unaware of one out there.

@patung: If you mean preview from the theme picker under appearances > themes then you won't have set any settings which most advanced premium themes have therefore we'd always advise you activate and set those rather than preview. If you mean something else please let me know what preview you mean. Preview will never show a theme with premium options to it's full extent.
both theme picker and using this plugin - http://www.nkuttler.de/wordpress/nkthemeswitch on the front end it shows a draft post at the bottom of the 'home' page. Not a big deal really but if you wanted to give people a well, rough preview without setting up a dedicated test site for the theme, it shouldn't show drafts.

UPDATE: Just updated some major IE fixes for 8 and also some elegant handling of the CSS3 used so it whilst doesn't look exactly the same it degrades without breaking which it did before. I will add that this is a CSS3 theme therefore you will lack some of the things primarily: drop shadows, some gradients and rounding in IE. However, it now at least doesn't look bad in IE. I will remind people we no longer support ie 6 and we aim for IE 8 primarily as the last browser in the IE range particularly in light of IE 9 being due.
ERROR REPORT:
For some reason this theme causes an error to be thrown when I hit the view button on a media item. There is a code problem in "navigation.php" file. Here is the error message:
"PHP Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /wp-content/themes/sleekphoto/library/components/navigation.php on line 25"
@iinet: First up if possible we do prefer you to start a new topic for a new issue as helps us support you. That being said please turn off all plugins and clear your cache in your browser before you try again just as a baseline test please for this.
Tammie,
Here is a little present for you guys :) My server admin guru was able to find the problem. There was a bug in your theme. Specifically the /sleekphoto/library/components/navigation.php file.
I have uploaded the fixed file. Please integrate the fix my server admin made so, my site does not break when you guys do an upgrade.
I have installed these themes multiple times and re-downloaded the zip files each time to assure I have the most recent version, but still encounter the following error:
