Has anyone ever tried WP No Category Base (http://wordpresssupplies.com/wordpress-plugins/no-category-base/)?
I have used it successfully on a few sites and installed it on the update to one of my sites but have now run into problems.
It removes the "category" prefix from posts, so instead of "site.com/category/back-pain/stretches" you would have "site.com/back-pain/stretches" (assuming a pretty permalink of /%category%/%postname%/.
I enabled it on austinaccidentlawyer.com and now the /%category%/%postname%/ permalink no longer works (I know WP does not recommend this format). Even with the plug-in removed, it seems that WP tries to deliver the post without the category part.
To see the problem, you will have to visit something like http://www.austinaccidentlawyer.com/sitemap/ because the index file still pulls up the old site. Then click on a category.
Does anyone know how to fix this so that wordpress starts to look for the category again?
