Hi
I just tried installing Signup Code on a single WP site.
It broke both the front end and admin
until I ftp ed in to delete it.
I want something like this for a single WP site that allows registration for using the Forum.
A simple captcha form for the main WP registration page would do -
but I am having trouble finding even this.
All the plugins I find by searching are either andtisplog
or else comment form captures.
Can you recommend a main registration form Captcha plugin to stop spammers ?
Thanks - DV

HI
Signup Code is only compatible with Multisite as it just won't work for a single user wordpress install unfortunately. I have never used the following plugin but sounds like something that could work for you
http://cartpauj.icomnow.com/just-released-the-cartpauj-register-captcha-wordpress-plugin/
or this one
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/raz-captcha/
Hope this helps!

Hello Narada,
I am sorry, but that plugin doesn't work with single WordPress installs. WordPress single installs generally have a fixed number of users, unless you are going for a multi-author blog or something like you said.
You can try what @ThinkTaiwan mentioned; I have something more for you!
WP-reCAPTCHA - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-recaptcha/
I have used this plugin before in a project and it works!
Also if you are interested, you could try this "Theme My Login" - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/theme-my-login/
This plugin will let you have visually appealing registration pages and you can add registration widgets and everything!
The plugin I said should work, so am gonna mark this thread as resolved for now. But in case it doesn't or you have more questions, feel free to re-open it. I will be keeping an eye on this thread, am here to help!

Just a note, the plugin says it's BuddyPress compatible. If it's not, it would be advisable to remove that notation.
None of the suggested options do what sitecode does, does anyone else have any other suggestions?

Hey mmedia,
By BuddyPress compatible along with WordPress Multisite it means that when BuddyPress runs on a Multisite. Does that makes sense?

Maybe you you could add an extra section at the top of plugins like this, to show it works with BuddyPress when running Multisite, because people may think it works on a single installation when BP us activated.

Yes, Joe got my point exactly.
BTW, we just went ahead and developed our own plugin for internal use to resolve this issue.

Guys,
We are working on a major design update of the dev. This and many more such issues will be dealt in the update, if you have anything specific let me know and I will pass it on to the team :)
Btw @mmedia Mind sharing it? I bet our devs and some of our users would love to use them. :)
