Greetings smartsites and Tim :-)
Not that I am aware of but if I wanted this I would scan the code and find the text for yearly and change it to One Time Payment ~or~ Lifetime ..... some wording to that effect and making sure to put the appropriate amount in the payment section for the previously yearly level.
Once the payment was processed I would go in and extend them to permanent.
Last but not least after some time I would cancel the subscription in PayPal .....
UPDATE: I was writing on a way to possibly get around this ..... until I thought about the PayPal subscription that this would create and the confusion possibly caused when the client received notification their subscription was cancelled.
+1 on a permanent option for this in the Pro Sites Plugin :-)
I will +1 this feature, because it has other uses than just pay to blog or upgrading the blog.
Let's say you develop something special, a uber plugin, uber theme or something - and want to create a level for that with just that one "thing". You could charge a 1 time payment for that without messing up other monthly charges.
Off the top of my head, one place I'd use that is to make additional development features available to subscribers like:
- Custom logo development, one-time fee of XX
- Custom theme development, one-time fee of XX
- Advanced support and site setup, one-time fee of XX
Having the option for 1 time fee along with the existing Pro-Sites features gives the network owner full control to be as creative as possible in monetizing their business.
I'd just go into PayPal and create a button for the item or get a shopping cart. Pro sites is unique in what it does with subscriptions but shopping carts (free ones too) are not hard to find that will fit what you are looking for. Probably could run them side by side, just have different checkout pages.
Really looking for a subscription with a setup fee, and we get in and help them do a few things. Would love to not need to go do this ourselves as custom work, then have you turn around and do it also ;-)

Pro sites/Support was designed from the ground up for subscriptions. We used to have one time functionality, but removed it at the upgrade as almost no one used it and it added alot of complexity.

Hey smartsites, hope you are well?
Currently no, the user has a choice of monthly, quarterly or yearly.
This would make a great feature request, so I'll move it over to that forum for you.
Anyone else want this?

1+ on that too for a permanent option.

Hey smartsites.
I just wanted to echo what Joe said again to ensure you didn't miss it. You can manually apply a permenant extension on an upgrade.
You can do that either by entering the site ID in Pro sites:
wp-admin/network/admin.php?page=psts
or by going to:
Admin --> Network Admin --> Sites --> All Sites
And then clicking on the relevant link under the Pro Sites column for that particular website. See screenshot.

Is there an option though for when they signup that whatever plan they pick is a one time payment?

Hey smartsites.
You can manually add a permanent account upgrade:

Take care.

Never thought of it like that, that is an outstanding idea!!
If I could add more than a +1 then I would! :-)
The option to be on multiple plans at once with that!
Take care.

+1 sounds like a good module to add to prosites! I'd love to see this feature soon.

I'm confused why the Directory plugin has support for this feature but this one does not?
