Hiya guys,
1. Does the seller get reminders when their time is about to run out?
No.
2. Is there a feature request in to allow subscriptions?
No. I'll explain below :)
3. Just to be sure, the blog does NOT show when it is inactive?
Front end does still display - backend access is locked except for payment screen. You could code a check into the theme header or function file and then display a 'maintenance' type page when a subscription expires.
The reason for the above is that we are largely fading out this plugin. In many ways Supporter is already a replacement for this (though possibly overkill in some scenarios) but we are aiming with the new Supporter 3.0 to completely provide all the amazing functionality you could ever want in a charge-for-site or even SAAS.
Stay tuned as we've finished up the hardest pieces of development with MarketPress 2.0 and Membership 2.0 - Supporter 3.0 is on it's way :)
Hi. I was just wondering is Supporter is now able to be set so that you need to pay first before getting a blog?
If not, it'd be great if someone can share the check code that goes into the theme header or function file and then display a 'maintenance' type page when a subscription expires.
Just wanted to add that, I really like the simplicity of the Pay to Blog plugin. No complicated options and installs. So, I hope you don't fade it out :)

Hiya Bina Omar,
Thanks for your feedback here. The new 'Pro Sites' plugin which is in RC4 at the moment and set for final release shortly will really get the job done much more efficiently than Supporter or Pay to Blog.
I agree Pay to Blog is great and simple - if it meets your needs, then that's awesome! We'll really be focusing on Pro Sites going forward though as it allows for so much more.
Thanks. In the meantime, do you have a check code that goes into the theme header or function file and then display a 'maintenance' type page when a subscription expires.

I don't think so.
I believe that the front end of the blog always shows, and Pay to Blog just restricts access to the back end.

@wpcdn
LOL - so you don't really have a clue on either?

Thanks James,
In playing around with them a little more this evening. It was an easy decision to switch over to Supporter.

I was actually confident about both answers, but wanted to include caveats because it has been a while since I confirmed those facts. :-)
