Hi,
I'm testing Pay to Blog, and I don't think the "flow" is intuitive enough for the user. For example, I set a 3-day demo period. So, of course, the hope is that a user will try it and -- before the end of the demo period -- will subscribe to extend it. However, there doesn't appear to be any option for that. The "Blog Account" menu item shows the expiration date. So, unless I'm misunderstanding, it looks as if the user's only option is to let the blog expire, then they will have the option to pay for it. I can't set it up this way, as I know the reaction I'd get from users. And, of course, they'd go through the same thing every month (or whatever period they signed up for)?
Is there any way this can be more user-friendly and allow people a chance to extend their period at any time?
Thanks.

Yup, pretty much. Been discussed and asked for before.

Hmm, any chance of it happening? :-)
One thing I did notice is that the expiration only seems to block Dashboard access. The blog itself seems to still function on the front end. I wish the plugin would add the ability to expire a blog completely after a certain grace period (e.g., if the user doesn't activate their Dashboard access by paying, within X days the blog just goes away...with e-mail reminders, of course).
Thanks.

Gotta admit I wondered about that sdince that's how they do it on edublogs. The payment gets charged a few days before it;s due.
Maybe Andrew can pop in here....
edit: Battery drained and I need to catch a bus to go off and volunteer. Be back in a couple of hours.

I need something like that too !
The users must have the option to pay before the end of the demo period if they want to.

Hiya!
We've got some updates planned for our Supporter plugin that will give you more options for these sorts of things. I don't have an ETA yet, but we're hoping to get it out very soon.
Thanks for your feedback, it helps us make decisions as to which features should be a priority! :D
