I suspect this is a database issue - but I can't seem to find it.
Running:
WP 3.3.1
Pop Up 3.1
The Pop Up plugin was working fine prior to a Word Press 3.3.0 (and updated to 3.3.1) update.
After the update it just showed a blank white box. Uninstalled - reinstalled - upgraded to newest version - nothing changed.
Changed PO_GLOBAL to true and was able to edit the pop up and it would display. Reset PO_GLOBAL',false - and it will only show global pop up. I can't get it to work site specific.

- plain HTML / text only for this test
- disabled all plugins - same affect
- tried with and w/out JS
After setting Global True - it will ONLY show the test Text from Global. Tried install then delete and reinstall. Rolled back a version - now back to v3.1 - still no go. It sort of worked on Global - but did not honor the settings for width and height. The box was as big as the type - no padding etc.
I'm lost as it did work before upgrading to WP3.1.1

Greetings :-)
hhmmmm - very puzzling but I can attest to the fact that the Plugin is working flawlessly on our two approximately two month old fresh install of WP 3.3.1
Actually I see that you have not taken the 3.3+ plunge?

Hey again.
I'm getting the same as Joe, it seems to work for me.
Certainly seems like some sort of conflict though. Odd though that if you tried with all other plugins turned off and using the default Twenty Eleven theme that the issue didn't remedy if it were a conflict.
PS - this is the code in the box - note - not all of that shows either:

What I think sir is that I am going to call in the big guns to check this out because something really bizarre here is going on - I cannot see it at all in Firefox and it appears now in the bottom left hand corner in Opera!

Greetings SooBahkDo :-)

Joe :-)

Hiya!
What do you have as the contents of your popup? Is it plain text/HTML or do you have Javascript/Flash in there?
Have you tried disabling other plugins and your theme to see if it's a conflict?
I can't test right now but your answers will help me to better test your scenario.
Thanks,
Phil

I in accidentally typed the wrong Wp version. It is up to date at 3.3.1
I turned off all plugins but did not switch theme to 2011
the site is http://thefuntimesguide.com - but it's only showing to logged in users - and we don't have regular users - users are just authors.
I can set up a profile for you guys if you want to browse around

Greetings jefflee :-)
sir in the web site admin --> settings --> Pop Overs --> Active Rules
"Visitor is not logged in"
Shows the Pop Over if the user is not logged into your site.
then you want to log out of the admin then visit the site URL - Front End :-)
Joe :-)
Member — 25th January 2012 (3 months ago) #
@aecnu - Understood.
I should have been more clear. I was letting you know that regular visitors would NOT see the Pop Up since it's only showing to authors.
I did NOT want to show to 'not logged in' users since it's just some rough copy and not working properly

You really need to do that so we can troubleshoot properly...

The pop up hides behind the header (but the bottom is still there) on the 2011 theme as shown here:
http://natchez-trace.thefuntimesguide.com/
thanks for looking into this

I don't actually see the popup at all on the site I'm afraid. What are the rules you have it set on?
Member — 2nd February 2012 (3 months ago) #
@Phil - it's there for logged out users. check again please. I added more type so it would push it down. it's trying to hide behind the menu

Greetings jefflee :-)
I just checked this out in Firefox and all I could see was "Message Again" and part of the table - the rest was completely hidden.
In Opera I was able to see a little bit more.
Have you tried using the Pop Over Position "Top" to see if you can move it down more?
Joe :-)

@aecna - I removed the check box at JS to center. Now the box is at the bottom left of the page here:
http://natchez-trace.thefuntimesguide.com/
It just refuses to honor the settings that are default to the plugin. I currently have:
Pop Over Size Width: 500px Height: 200px
Pop Over Position Left:100px Top:100px
Pop Over Margins Left: 0px Right: 0px
Top: 0px Bottom: 0px
I'm pretty close to giving up on this plugin. What do you think?
Thanks

Member par excellence — 4th February 2012 (3 months ago) #
@jefflee Just try this activate testheadfooter.php it is in the zip file of the plugin and see if the problem is not with your Header and Footer :)
Member — 4th February 2012 (3 months ago) #
not sure what to do with that one @Mark de Scande
Suggestions?
Member — 4th February 2012 (3 months ago) #
I still think it's a database glitch.
Note the content of the plugin:
This does NOT match the content entered as noted above "WMPU Boys"
Member — 4th February 2012 (3 months ago) #
why the admin page is totally different from video?
i can't setup also via normal wordpress.org installation.
