Hello ianclevett,
Facebook will soon be depreciating the offline_access and this is part of it, not a bug. Which essentially means that, to post to Facebook you need to be logged in and if you are posting to a page, the user logged in must be the admin to the page.
But I have news that this has been post poned for a while and if you go to your App Settings > Advanced you can see deprecate offline_access set as enabled. If you set it to disabled, auto posting should work for now, till July 5th, when it will be permanently disabled for everyone.
