There is a Capabilities Type field which defaults to 'post'. So you get the standard set of edit_post, read_post etc capabilities attached. You can edit this field to something different as anadvanced option to say something like 'books'. This would attache things like edit_books, read_books etc.
But that doesn't do you a lick of good unless you can assign those capabilities to a user. Custompress doesn't do that part.

Hello Arnold,
OK thank you.
Why this field isn't documented in the documentation ?
It could be usefull to add an explanation in the documentation there http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/custompress/installation/
Best regards

Hi guys,
I omitted that out of the documentation because this was pretty advanced stuff and I thought the people who would ever need it would know what to do without a documentation.
Turns out it I am wrong. I will add this to the documentation asap.
@visitonweb
Thanks for pointing out :)
To follow-up onto what Arnold said, you could make use of those capabilities by editing or creating WordPress roles using the Members plugin : http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members/
You are gonna love the Members plugin if you have more than one user handling your site :)

Hello Arun,
Thank you to suggest me the "Members" Plugin.
How can I hide (in the wordpress user menu) taxonomies created with custompress for specific roles ?
Thanks
