Dear WPMUDev support,
While opened my sub-domain dashboard (user admin) then click to pro-sites --> Select premium plugin, then click preview the theme that I want to change, preview show the current theme instead of my expected theme. But the theme succeeded changed while activated. Then I deleted the custom domain in domain mapping setting then it works. So the preview themes problem while the custom domain added to domain mapping.

Yes, happened to all themes include free themes. Yes, all plugins have deactivated except domain mapping and pro sites. Sorry, I re-open the thread as not resolved yet.
Timothy, I have mentioned at above that the problem just happened while the custom domain setting up but while delete the custom domain and use the original sub domain seem OK.

Right, but what I'm suggesting as a temporary solution for you without having to delete the domain is go to your admin area for Domain Network settings:
The problem just on the preview of themes, while I clicked to preview the pop-up window show current theme that have activated instead of expected theme.

Greetings bmwijaya :-)
well sir this is actually not a domain mapping issue, all your DNS and everything looks great and the sites are resolving correctly.
This does not seem to be a domain mapping issue at all but more accurately and issue when using the mapped domain or rather the domain name proper.
Next I went ahead and tested one of our production sites that is using the Domain Mapping Plugin and using the domain proper I could not reproduce the error you described.
Everything worked flawlessly with the themes and theme previews.
So what could be different?
I noticed that the example that Tim gave you does not exactly match the screen that I get in Domain Mapping and the suggested setting was different then that of of working site.
So therefore I suggest since this is working on a production site including the previews to set your setting the same in the Network Admin -->Settings-->Domain Mapping-->Domain Entered by User
Previous domain mapping setup Was setting in domain entered by user but no luck, then I changed to others (original domain and mapped domain) also no luck. This morning I switched to domain entered by user and it works now. Thanks for Tim and Joe for your passion to help me. Good day and cheers.

Hey there, hope you are well. :-)
I've just tested and I'm not getting the same problem.
Does it happen with all themes? Does it also happen in the free themes section?
Does it happen when all other plugins are deactivated, except Pro Sites and Domain mapping of course?
Thanks.

You don't need to be sorry. Thats what the feature is for ;-)
I can't replicate this with with all plugins deactivated (except Pro Sites and Domain Mapping)
I'll ping a couple of other people and see if they get this or can replicate it.
Thanks.

Best option (I guess), Preview via mapped dashboard :)
Support Chimp — 4th February 2012 (3 months ago) #
Hey Mustafa.
That preview of mine is a mapped domain, the main domain is a .net ;-)
Hey bmwijaya,
Just wondering if you set the admin option for domain mapped to use original domain i.e. the subdomain. does it work then?
Thanks.

Right, but what I'm suggesting as a temporary solution for you without having to delete the domain is go to your admin area for Domain Network settings:
Admin --> Network Admin --> Settings --> Domain Mapping
wp-admin/network/settings.php?page=domainmapping_options
This will then make your admin area use the sub domain whilst the front area uses the mapped domain.
Take care.

Greetings bmwijaya and Tim :-)
I have read through the above and currently trying to figure out exactly what our malfunction is here at this point :-)
In summary I understand that a theme works correctly on a sub domain but not on a mapped domain?
@bmwijaya sir what is your current symptom please and can you confirm my above summary so that I know I am barking up the right tree :-)
