When a user signs up for a free site, everything goes well until they activate and then try to login. They are taken to a secure page https://mysite.com/1310?bid=88 with the following:
Sorry, we can't find the content you're looking for at this URL. Please try selecting a menu item from above or to the side of this message to get where you'd like to go.
The site admin toolbar is at the top but each time I try to do anything it asks me to log in again and then will give me the above message
HELP!
Thanks

Sounds like you have a payment gateway activated with SSL forced. Are you using a free trial or just free altogether?

I've got paypal pro and that shouldn't affect free level sign ups. At least it hasn't in the past.

UPDATE: I can access the sites dashboard if I'm logged in as the Super Admin.
Still no dashboard for logged in site admin.

Greetings troykd,
Which gateways do you have activated in Pro Sites?
The free gateway and the PayPal gateway?
Please advise.
Cheers, Joe

Not sure what you mean by free gateway. It's a normal Pro Sites setup that has been operating for quite awhile. The gateway is PayPal Pro.
This is a problem with the free site. Everything is ok through activation. When the site admin logs in, they get the error above instead of the dashboard. Super admin can get the dashboard.

Sounds like you checkout page got broken somehow.
1. Go to pro sites -> settings
2. Click the edit link for the checkout page
3. Trash or delete the checkout page
4. Save pro sites -> settings page
That will generate a new checkout page and fix the saved permalink to it.

Hi Aaron,
Thanks for the help here. I went to edit the checkout page and found it to be blank. It wasn't before.
I hit Trash and it took me to All Pages and I found 40 blank pages created on 5/5/12. What the heck. I've seen blank pages created seemingly at random before but hadn't noticed any other problems.
I deleted them all. Go back to Pro Sites and click on edit page (checkout) and get
I did save the Pro Sites settings and dumped the cache. Same result.
.
Thanks

Permanently deleted all those pages. Went back to Pro Sites > Settings. Click on 'edit checkout page' and the setting page just refreshes. Nothing else happens.
Thanks

Aaron,
I changed the name (rebranded) Pro Sites in the settings. I could then regenerate a check out page and am able to log into the free website. What the heck happened to cause the break in the first place?
Thanks

Changing the slug of the checkout page or deleting it would break the link.

Somethings wrong when it generates 43 blank pages and breaks the check out page.

I honestly have no idea how that happened for you. Let me know if it happens again.
