I just checked out the demo and I can't find an example with variations. they are possible aren't they? multiple variations even as in color and size? anyone has a link to a live implementations of variations?
I'd like to have a look...
Besides, I have a client right now that wants some "preview" option, i.e. he is selling t-shirts you can customize with logos and/or text and he'd like to offer a preview of the product before ordering, anyone seen anything like that even if it was another os commerce solution?

Those are both Flash and probably custom coded.
I guess I would have to have something like that custom coded myself, could it be possible to integrate something like that into this plugin?
Any idea of how much something like that could cost?

Hey Ovidiu.
Variations are possible. :-)
However multiple variations are not. So in the instance of T-Shirts you could define two sets, one for colour and one for size.
However you could set them together like Orange XS, Orange XXL, Black XS, etc, etc.
I've attached a screenshot so you can see an example of the admin.
As for the preview option, not in WP. I know I saw options a couple of years ago on Magento. I also seem to remember something with PrestaShop but I could be wrong there.
A few years ago I owned a shop and we did our own T-Shirts and printing. So I required a similar setup. :-)
Magento although more complex and more demanding allows you to run a multisite store. like toys.domain.com tshirts.domain.com Very smart indeed. :-)
I am reopening this thread as I have a follow-up question and wanted to catch your attention again :-)
still working with my client selling t-shirts above here is another question:
how about the option of letting a user upload a logo he wants to get printed on his t-shirt? anything like that integrated already in this plugin? could it be extended easily? just need to know if this works / coudl work / no way :-)

Hey again.
Unfortunately there is nothing like that just yet. The user can't upload an image as they purchase. I suppose you could provide a form for that but it the extra step could be off putting for your clients customers...

Sure it could. But you would need to look at doing something custom here. I'm not sure if other WP commerce plugins have that ability. Sorry.
I suppose you would need someway to associate an upload with a purchase.
Don't know if you noticed or not but you can request new plugins and features now through the following:

here are a few demos I found online to help explain what I am looking for:

http://www.k-shopping.de/shirt-designer/
Those are both Flash and probably custom coded.

Something like:
http://dev.productsdesigner.com/magento/designlab/
From:
http://www.productsdesigner.com/magento-tshirt-design-tool
Thats for Magento:
http://www.magentocommerce.com/
There were and most likely still is other options out there, perhaps not as expensive.
Take care.
