Hi,
I think we would all love a fully integrated stats solution like Wordpress.com. But as you said 2 years ago such a plugin would not be easy to build.
So what's about the following suggestion:
You have a cool Google Analytics for WordPress Multisite plugin. Would it be possible to add to this plugin the ability to view the Google Analytics stats directly inside the WordPress dashboard of our network users? That would be really great and easier for our users and might be a closer step to a fully integrated solution.
The Google-analytics-dashboard plugin (which doesn't seem to be an adequate multisite solution) might be a good source of inspiration.

Nice idea Laurent. And actually, we DO have plans to release a stats plugin for multisite that shows the info in your dashboard - though I'm not sure about google analytics integration or if we're rolling our own solution.
I don't have an ETA, but this is one that is on our list. Any other +1s from folks? How big a priority is this to everyone?
+100 for me!! I have been trying to get one that works well on Multi-site with 300+ sites and the ones mentioned are good on small numbers but I am confident you guys could streamline it and make it great for multi-site like you do with all your other plugins!!
+1 for me - I guess the users could enter their google information, the code would be added automatically to the footer, and then the stats would be shown on the settings page?

@Lorange:
since every admin still needs to input his GA key, what would you show to those who do not use GA?
if you only want to offer dashboard stats for some users, how about this one? works great! http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/analytics360/

+1 for me. I'd love to see something that would allow users to see site stats in their dashboard.

Hiya folks,
Maybe you can preferre this plugin for this job. We're using our network really good :)
Also maybe, developers add stats feature (like as edublogs stats) for Pro Blogs (Supporter) 's next release.
Cheers

Hiya guys,
The stats plugin isn't dead in the water. We're still looking into it, probably after the events plugin.

Dashboard stats would be awesome. I have something like that for ExpressionEngine and clients love it.
So far I really like this one...

Hiya guys,
It's still not dead, but we've made other plugins a priority based on feedback. If you're looking for stats in the dashboard TODAY then I'd recommend:
For Google Analytics - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-analytics-dashboard/
For your own stuff: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-piwik/
(I use this one on a couple multisites personally)
Anyway, we will still see about getting this one on the roadmap, but until that time there are solutions available :)
Thanks!
