Hi How can I generate a viewable site map? Does this plugin do it or is there another one that I need?
Thanks,

Hey @imagineutopia
You can view the sitemap under yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml
If you are looking at creating an archive page for your visitors, you would need another plugin.
This is my fav: http://www.geekwithlaptop.com/about/projects/clean-archives
Good luck!

Site map options can be found on the plug-in's main page.
Click the "Usage" tab here:
http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/wpmu-dev-seo/
For example, you can exclude certain items (Post, pages, categories, etc.) from the site map.

Hey @mark77210
My guess is, by viewable @imagineutopia means, something like an archive page. Something of this sort: http://kuttappi.com/archives/
:)

For sure. I was just supplementing with other info because I thought maybe he/she hasn't found the relevant admin section yet (which also provides a link to a viewable page.)
Have a good one,
Mark

I guess what he wants more is like a tree view of just the pages.
He gave me this as a better example.

Ah, okay. Yeah, Infinite SEO generates XML Sitemaps for search engines, not site maps for site admins and users.
You'll probably want to go with something like this:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sitemap/screenshots/
You could probably jazz it up a bit with some righteous HTML.
Is that what you are looking for?
Cheers,
Mark

@imagineutopia I found this. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nice-navigation/screenshots/ looks very close to the link you supplied. I think you want to have your pages displayed in what's called "treeview".

@imagineutopia Excellent! Can you mark this topic as Resolved?
Cheers Xavier for the nice plug-in link. I may use that one, too.

yeah totally. is there a resolved button I'm not seeing?
Member (joined July 2011) Likes (0)
Sometimes it doesn't show (it's normally located below the comment area). I've had this issue before as well and I don't know why it occurs. I do know that there is no Resolved button in either General or Feature Request forums, but there should be one showing in both Plugins and Themes forums.
Waiting for enlightenment...

Hey @mark77210 and others wondering about the resolved button. I am the one who stole it. General house keeping.
Some forum categories (like Features etc) doesn't have it by default, for others any moderators can mark the topic as not a support question.
In this case, since this isn't one where the user is in trouble with the product as such, I decided to mark it so. There is never really a resolution point for such a thread, someone else can come in and keep adding suggestions at any point.
All staff follow the threads that they participate using feeds, so we get to read all the replies. So despite the status of the threads, it gets the attention.
Hope it makes sense.

Ah, it makes sense. The forum system itself doesn't allow users to indicate whether a topic is a "question" or a "problem", so staff makes that decision themselves. I suppose that provides you guys more flexibility even if you have to sacrifice a first pass at having the user categorize the nature or priority of the ticket.
Suggestions/Feedback (I know I'm going off topic here. Sorry)
See screenshot for how it's organized at Formidable Forms. I think it works well but I'm a user there, not support staff. I also like the fact that they have a knowledge base (something I'm really pushing for here) and that you can filter searches to search either the KB or the forums. They also have a way to mark a post as private, which is really great in case you want to post login credentials, client sites, etc. I'm sure you guys have pondered all this but I wanted to show you a site in action which has a different approach. Their business is not as nearly as complex as yours, of course.

Whoops .. forgot the screenshot.
PS - New feature request: Include "Add screenshot" in the Edit post function, haahaha ;-)

+1 for that I have wanted to add screenshots when I am editing as well.

Hey @Mark and @xaviemirmon
1. The knowledge base sort of thing, we are already considering it. More like a FAQ section I think.
We are a lot different from Gravity Forms and Formidable Forms. We would need about 160 times the knowledge base as that of Formidable Forms, since we have that many plugins. And maintaining them over updates and stuff is an Himalayan job. But we will get there eventually. (Honestly, even maintaining the documentation is hard enough).
2. Screenshots while editing a post. That's a known bug / missing feature. We have had people discuss that for a long time, people as in devs around here. An idea is to upload a picture to a post, then edit it and copy the attachment code into the old one. that works, but it's a bit too much.
3. Regarding:
Actually unless its said explicitly, all questions have the "un-resolved" bulb by default. The staff makes them as "Not a Support Question" in either one of these situations:
1. Its not a support question, but a discussion or idea, request for plugin etc. This is most of the case.
2. Extremely rarely, when its not related to any of our products and its beyond what we can support.
:)
