Hi there,
Apologies for a repost but this is pretty urgent! Any ideas on how I can get the slider in the Studio theme to work? I have tried everything but nothing seems to get the slider onto my site!

Hi there, Thanks for getting back to me. Yes it it. I was hoping to use the slider that was in the theme demo but I guess I could settle for this slider. I am trying to get page tabs at the top of my site but unsure how. Any help on this one?
OK let me install this theme on a test area and I will get back to you on the default slider and page tabs. Havent used this theme so will have a quick look.
Also I can recommend nivo slider for Wordpress! Its awesome.

@iSocialEyes lets take a look at what issues the default slider was giving you. I think we've got a case of too many sliders going on here so lets trim back :) What exactly was the issue you experienced with it?
Were you able to add slides or was it something you wanted it to do that it didn't do? If you can let me know I can see about helping you on that.
OK the wow slider is the default slider and is the one in the demo but the demo perhaps uses a purchased version of wowslider and so doesnt have the wowslider link at bottom right. As I dont think Wowslider is free.
Create a new menu called "Pages" or whatever. Once created then set the Primary Navigation box (on the top left) to "Pages or whatever your menu is called (will prob be the only one there I imagine).

@ThePath are you referring to the Studio theme? That doesn't use the WowSlider it has it's own. Just trying to get all on same page here. How about we get back to basics and get the default slider working. I understand your suggestion but lets step back a little start on that.
So @iSocialEyes all I did was enter the url of the image in the theme options->slides tab and hey presto the slider appeared! So all working fine and dandy.
Ahhhh crikey. I have caused some confusion here have I? :-s
Okay ...
Slider: I have used the Wow Slider plugin, however if there is a way to use the themes own Slider, I would very much be pleased to know how this can be achieved :-)
As for the theme login: I have sorted this now. Well, it kind of sorted itself out somehow.
The page tabs: I have sorted this too. Just 'tidying' up these.

Hiya iSocialEyes,
If you want to use the default theme slider you'll want to not use a page as your home page. To do this, navigate to Settings>Reading and make sure "Your latest posts" is checked.
Then, make sure you have the slides activated by going to Appearance>Theme Options>Scripts and that "Show slideshow block?" is set to yes.
Then you can click on the secondary tab of Slides (beside scripts) and enter in the content for each of your slides.
If you're not looking for a full-width slider you may also want to consider our Gallery theme.

Greetings Everyone :-)
I have recently noticed (by virtue of solving support tickets) that the most common reason folks are having trouble with the Studio Themes default slider is because they have their home set to Static Page as Mason James mentioned above this absolutely does not work.
If we can be of further assistance please let us know.
Superb. I think I am pretty much sorted now thank you. I am, however, looking for a plugin where I can use to display 90 company members on my arts projects. Ideally looking for a plugin that will allow me to upload a thumbnail and a brief section on the company member. Any suggestions? Apologies for all these questions but thought I would get it out of the way now :-)
You dont need a plugin to achieve this as WP can handle this on its own.
In a page/post just simply add a gallery of your 90 members (if you want to show all of them). Each image allows you to enter a description. Fill this out with their bio and make sure the gallery is set to "link to attachment page". Insert the gallery into your post/page and hey presto you have a gallery of user thumbnails which when clicked on take you to there own member page with bio.
You are totally right. It actually looks nicer too :-) Just going back to the theme my login issue again as the issue has returned ... When I go to login using the login in option in the top left hand corner, it takes me to the wordpress login page. Any way of setting it so that people stay on my site and 'within its theme' so to speak.
You are all awesome for assisting! In shock actually :-s Sorry to sound scattergun, just so much to do in soooo little time ...
So you mean the login link on the bar at the top of the page. Taking you to the WP login screen is the default behaviour.
Im slightly confused as to what you want to happen? You can insert a login form directly into your page somewhere or even into the top menu bar Im sure. There may be a plugin to do this or you could hard code it in.
If you want to customise your login page and then redirect it to a page of your choice then check out these two WPMU DEV plugins:
On the right tracks. Basically, I have installed the plugins but while the login page is fine on the website itself, I still get redirected to the wordpress default login page in the bar at the top of the page. Just wondering how I could change this so that users are redirected to the 'themed' login page. It worked with my previous theme but not this one. Not a major issue as its 'aesthetical' but something I would like to resolve if possible :-)

Ahh right Im getting you now. SO you have a designated login page now and you want the top bar to link to this rather than the default WP.
Personally Ive never delved into the top menu bar. So im unsure on how to edit it but I did find this link to plugins which could help you:
http://buddydev.com/buddypress/buddypress-branded-login-plugin-for-your-buddypress-powered-site/
You could also use your htaccess file on your server to forward everyone accessing the standard login page to the one you want.
