Support System plugin on BuddyPress
Hi,
I installed the Support System Plugin on my BuddyPress site. Was this a bad idea?
While I see the Support Ticket Manager and the FAQ Manager under Site Admin, there is no button or such to access it from BP. Is there a way to get System Support working for BP? Can I maually add the buttons for user to access this tool?
Kind Regards,
Larry

Hiya,
I'm afraid this plugin is only displayed in the admin panel. You can definitely link to it from other locations though.
Thanks,
Andrew
Hi,
What are the links? How do I determine the links? I would be happy to add them to a BP page for people to use.
Kind regards,
Larry

Hiya,
You'll need to determine the primary blog for a member and then link to the support page in that admin panel.
Thanks,
Andrew
Ah,
I did not realize that the only interface is the site admin panel. Yes, that is what you wrote in your first reply, but it took a while to sink in.
It seems to be working fine. It was added automatically to my test blog, I submitted a ticket and the email was sent once I closed it.
I have not added anything as an FAQ yet, but I may try adding your user videos to it.
Kind regards,
Larry
Hi,
The email text I get in these Support emails has some html tags stuff that is not displaying properly:
<p>Test Ticket</p>
I don't think this is related to Outlook & Opera not showing html email, so I'm wondering if there is a fix? This leads me to ask howI can change the email to add something like this:
We try our best to respond to all tickets within in 24 hours.
Kind Regards,

Here is the letter.

Hiya,
We'll take a look at the html tags issue this week.
This leads me to ask howI can change the email to add something like this
You'll have to edit the plugin I'm afraid. Just do a search for "Begin Ticket Message" and you should find it in the code.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi,
Two more problems have surfaced with the Support System Plugin related to FAQa:
1). "General Questions (65,535 quesions available)" Actually, I have added about 12. I suspect it may not like my adding videos like "Using he media library, tho the embeddeed code you provide works just fine to view the vieo.
2). How do I delete an FAQ question? I go into FAQ Manager, check the question and press "delete Questions", but it is not deleted.
Kind regards,
larry
Hiya,
I'll take a look at both issues when I get to this plugin this week.
Thanks,
Andrew
Hi,
I notice that on the plugin home page it has a tick against wordpress multisite but no indication it works with Buddypress. I take it from the above that it might, can you clarify as I'd love to use on a buddyprress 1.5 multisite installation.
thanks,
imacg
Hi, thats a +1 for using this with Buddypress.
The above posts seems to indicate quite a few alterations need to be made to make this happen but it would be very handy.
Thanks!
James.
