Hi,
Are there any plans to develop a survey plugin? I know there are commercial ones out there, such as Polldaddy and SurveyGizmo. However, surveys are created from their websites and one embeds the code into WP.
I could use one that allows blog admins to create their own surveys. I believe that if such a plugin exists here, more users would join premium.wpmudev.org just to download the survey plugin ;-)

Hiya,
First up, this kind of thread belongs in either the feature request forum or one of the discussion forums. The plugin support forum is for just that... 'plugin support'.
As for the feature, I really think most people just go with PollDaddy or WP-Polls.

Hiya,
The problem is that poll and survey plugins are very time consuming to create. When a service like PollDaddy provides a web based service at a reasonable price it's very hard to justify spending that kind of time.
Note that PollDaddy provides a survey feature as well.
* Surveys have to be created from vendor website
* Not good for WPMU since only 1 user can login. If sharing accounts is allowed, login information have to be managed
I'm looking for something that is integrated with WPMU so that blog admins can create and manage their own surveys (not just polls).
I'm with knluu. I don't want my bloggers being enticed away. As WP rolls out with multi-site functionality, it will become easier and easier for folks to drift aweay and the whole landscape will become more competitive.
An embedded plugin seems the only logical solution.

The problem is that it's not a simple task to create a poll/survey plugin and most developers aren't going to bother with it since there are existing solutions and services out there.

Could have sworn that Gamerz did a survey one as well as the wp-polls but his site isn't loading from here to check.

Andrew: WIll post future requests in the appropriate section.
drmike: WP-Polls is for polls only. It does not offer questionaire type.

If you are after an option for questionnaire then most choose between:
1) embedding a Google Form (as they can look really cool embedded)
2) or linking to a survey created on Survey Monkey - http://www.surveymonkey.com/
But if you want to create cool quizzes than MyStudiyo ( http://www.mystudiyo.com/ ) does an excellent job,
Let me know if you would like any links to them being used as embeds in posts.

The issues with a lot of these tools are:

Thank you.

WP-Polls works fine for me.

Ditto. I still could have sworn that Gamerz had done a survey one as well.

I know it's been over a year and this wasn't posted properly as a feature request but I just wanted to +1 the poll/survey request.
