The WPMU Dev Updates section of our dashboard shows the Tag Feed plugin installed when it is not. It also fails to show the Auto Blog plugin when it IS installed.....
We previously opened a thread trying to figure out why this was happening / troubleshooting to no avail. I've recently noticed that the version number of the "Tag Feed" plugin was changing to match the Auto Blog version .... if I manually change the Auto Blog version to say 6.0, this will be reflected in the "Tag Feed" plugin listed in the "Installed Plugins" section of the WPMU Dev Updates screen .....
So in conclusion: the Auto Blog Plugin does not show when it should, the Tag Feed plugin does show when it should not and it also shows the Auto Blog Plugin version number, which it should not ....
Any feedback appreciated.
Tried three times to add screen shot but apparently 193kb is too big???

Hi Tracy,
That's really weird, sounds like Update Notifications is recognizing Autoblog as Global Tag Feed on your site somehow, not something I can seem to replicate.
I'll ask one of the developers to take a look at this but to help get some background info, are you on the latest version of WordPress?
Also, does the Autoblog version show properly in the regular Plugins list?
EDIT: Could you also try overwriting the copy of Autoblog on your site with the most recent version (being sure there's no existing copy in /mu-plugins/ )?
I'm on the latest version of wp. Auto Blog has never shown up but that is fairly common from the feedback I've seen from others in other Auto Blog threads ... only the Tag Feed plugin shows.

Thanks Tracy for that additional info, so Autoblog does not show in your list in the regular WordPress Plugins section, correct? But Global Tag Feeds does?
Also, could you please verify you don't have a copy of Autoblog in /mu-plugins/ ?
To clarify: auto blog shows up in wp plugins section as it should, it does not show up in WPMUDEV plugins section though, a previously known issue for others as discussed in other threads ....

Thanks for clarifying that Tracy. I'm really just trying to figure out if it's more of an Autoblog or an Update Notifications issue, so thanks for bearing with me there.
I've alerted one of the developers on this so we can take a look into it.

I think you have an older version of autoblog or tag feed. Please try installing a fresh copy of both autoblog and tag feed. I've confirmed that the current versions of each
We do not have Tag Feed installed per my previous description. Auto Blog is 3.5.4. We previously opened a ticket trying to find out why Tag Feed was showing up when it was not installed to no avail. It is NOT installed ....

Can you tell me what the WDP ID: header line in your autoblog plugin is? It should be:
WDP ID: 97

Note are you sure you don't have tag feed installed? Look for tag-feed.php in wp-content root. If so check the WDP ID header in it too.

It showed 96, changing to 97 fixed the issue. It looks like 3.5.4 has been updated to show 97? 3.5.3 and previous versions show 96 as well.

Yes, we noticed the issue and fixed it in 3.5.4 a little while ago.
