Hi Aphrodite,
That was just brought up in another thread recently and I think it would be a great idea to have as a feature, though it's hard to say in which plugin. The Newsletter plugin seems to provide the most customization options. Would that be better for your use?

well, if newsletter can be connected to subscribe by email and grab subscibers why not. But this is definitly not the same goal. Subscribe to a newsletter or to notifications is not the same, but sometimes we can need to write any information to subscribers.

Thanks for clarifying that Aphrodite. So what you're looking for specifically then is just to be able to send an email message out to all subscribers to the subscribe by email plugin, correct?
+1 for the option to be able to send an email to all subscribers to the subscribe by email plugin. (subscribe2 is fine, but needs user access to the admin area which I am trying to avoid). And merging with newsletter plugin would be really nice...
Should be able to segregate subscribers into separate categories. Some subscribers should be on the e-newsletter. Others should not be, just the regular blog post subscribers. Of course, some subscribers could be in both categories / subscriptions.

yes this is just that. This option exists in the subscribe2 plugin... That I use because of that :)

I personally think that e-newsletter and this plugin could be merged. Pretty much you would be adding the feature of this plugin to e-newsletter.
Because essentially that is what the e-newsletter does.... e-mails subscribers. :-)
