I m having major issue's with site users wanting to unsubscribe and getting too many emails. I keep removing them them they seem to be re-added.
Could anyone offer a solution - i've removed membership and e-newsletter plugins as previously advised.

What emails are they getting?
Signup emails? Something else?
If Membership and e-newsletter are disabled then they shouldn't be the cause.
What other plugins you have?

thanks for fast response : clients are getting email notifications of all new posts etc. I have activated membership to see if any of the emails i deleted are still contained in the membership system - a task that may take a few hours to complete !

Any chance you are using our Subscribe by Email plugin?

That would email your users of new posts. If so then at the bottom of every email there’s a simple ‘unsubscribe’ link – which allows users to unsubscribe.

soz bud just so behind on my task list !
I disabled membership totally now and just using pro-sites however as its not taking payments I think I will need to switch back and try and resolve the issue in membership.
Seems probs def arising via membership had no complaints today with it disabled.
