Not sure if this could be rolled into the automessage or should be its own plugin.
The thought is that we should have a plugin we can set to email a user if they haven't done a specific action within X days within a specific time period.
This would be a huge step to drive engagement and user stickiness for contributing over time.
(Example 1 and 2 would yield different results)
Example 1: Send message if user A does not log in for 30 days AND registration date is within two years of today.
Example 2: Send message if blog B does not have a post within last 30 days AND registration date is within two years of today.

Yeah, that previous thread does seem to cover it as well and really, I have to say that's a very cool idea. As that thread's already in the feature suggestion forum I'll respond to that one and we can take a look at who else might be interested in the feature.
