Hi,
Users that were registered before the Membership Plugin was activated are missing.
Alltogether I have 43 users but in Membership status All Members I have only 15 of them.
Any Ideas?
REgards,
Peter

Hey there.
Are all these members actually on the site in question or just registered to your WordPress Multisite.
The members should be available through:
Admin --> Users
Or do you only see them all here:
Admin --Network --> Users
Let me know.

Hi Timothy,
I am truly sorry, but I did not get any notification that there was answer to my question. Probably I forgot to check (be notified)...Sorry once again!
I see all the users under Network Admin --> Users, but when I go to my blog and to membership settings, there are some missing.
Some of the users under under 'Network Admin --> Users' has nothing under category 'Sites' the others have my blog name. Those that has my blog name can see protected pages (membership plugin). The others can not visit all the protected content even though they are registered and logged in. I had to add them manually through 'Add Existing User' so they can start to see protected pages.
Do you think I did something wrong with membership plugin settings?
Regards,
Peter

Hey again. :)
By default wordpress will register a user to your network. When registering through Membership with incomplete signups enabled they should be registered to site they are going through.
I reckon you have BuddyPress enabled and when they signup they do so through BuddyPress rather than through the Membership plugin?
Can you test that and let me know? (signup through both forms to see how they are different)
Thanks.

Hi Thimoty,
Thank you for your quick response...:)
1.) incomplete signups are enabled
2.) Buddypress was enabled before...still is
3.) In membership options registration page is the same as in budypress/wordpress
4.) when new user is registered now in membership status is writen: _newuser has joined level Registered User on subscription Basic Membership
New users can now see protected pages...great...and thanx!
The only thing is that new users are not listed under 'All Members' inside Membership plugin. If I want them to be there I have to 'Add Existing User' as before.
Regards,
Peter

I'm thinking that your BuddyPress signup form is still being used rather than your Membership signup form.
Remove the BuddyPress reg form:
Admin --> Network Admin --> BuddyPress --> Pages
Then turn that to nothing for now.
Admin --> Membership --> Options --> Membership Pages [TAB]
You said here the page is the same as BuddyPress?
If BuddyPress now has no registration page try it again, it should now definitely be Membership handling that.
Let me know.

Hi Thimoty,
Great...It works now...Thank you for your support...:)
I have 2 new questions now:
1.) when you click on signup button now, it asks which plan I want to use. See below
//Basic Membership
Free, easy and basic option, great for everybody. Entirely Free (supported by some advertising).//
I can not change the welcome text...It does not want to be saved!
2.) Inside the Admin, there is warning message I have to repair buddypress page, because it is not anymore associated with 'Membership Register' page.
Any ideas,
Regards,
Peter

That could be annoying but you can ignore that, only you see it. If you really want to create one then just be sure all signup links go to the Membership form and not the BuddyPress one.
I'll ping the developer, I could be wrong but I'm sure a check or something was done to handle the BP and Membership reg page conflict.
So you can edit it but just not update right?
I was just testing this and it works fine for me so I'm thinking you might have a conflict or something there.
If that is the case then to test you would need to temporary deactivate all plugins and use the default Twenty Eleven theme. If it works then its a conflict.
You would then activate each one, one at a time until the issue happens again. This will let you know which item is causing the conflict.
Let me know how you get on.
Thanks.

Hi Thimoty,
I did everything you asked me to. There is one change however (look 2.)):
1.) I am still not able to add new subscription,
2.) If I try to change current subscription it says 'it is updated' but the text stays the same.

Peter

So you tested with no other plugins and in the default theme.
If so would you mind me taking a closer look?
Thanks.

Dear Thimoty,
I did clean install of wordpress/buddypress/ with all the plugins I have on the site where problem persist. I did test it and it works perfectly...:) So there has to be some item like you said that causes the conflict.
I will try to do once again what you told me to. Maybe I did something wrong and I would not like to take your precious time away for my mistake. WPMU DEV crew is always really nice to me...:)
I will try to test it once again and I will get back to you later today with the results. If the problem will still be there it would be really nice if you will take closer look.
Thank you for everything,
Regards,
Peter

Hi Thimoty,
Unfortunately it does not work. I can change it only in phpMyAdmin.
Will you be so kind and take closer look at my page? Do you need cPanel admin and admin from wordpress/buddypres?
Where can I send you those details?
Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter :)
I noticed your latest post and thought I would quickly assist. You can send the FTP access and full WP network / site admin access to Timothy via our Contact Form and just mark it for his attention. Remember to also include a link to this topic so he can easily refer back to the discussions.
Make the most of every day! All the best.

Hi Thimoty,
I have just sent you the FTP access and full WP network / site admin access to via your Contact Form as Gina B nicely told me so...:)
Wish you enjoyable finding of the solution,

Thanks for that.
I see what you mean now.
I think the 77 is tracking total number of signups. So if a member unsubscribed and then signs up 10 times more, then that would be 87.
Whereas the user count is just that.
I hope this clarifies.
I'm thinking this is intentional but originally I believed it would be total active subscriptions and so rather than report this as a bug I'm going to ping barry for feature clarification.
Take care.
