I see what you mean now, its the BuddyPress Activity plugin.
Add this to your CSS:
If that doesn't work then add !important like:

Are you referring to the icons in my screen?
If so they have transparent backgrounds thats why they look like that. You would need to edit the images or give it a different background there.

hmm, I don't see those.
By the looks of them on your screenshot they appear to be transparent? So they show the background colour.
