Hey there - love the theme! An issue tho - When posting to the Activity Stream on our bp-fun Buddypress site, when I click the any of the handy links (image, video url, or chainlink icon), the "Post Update" button vanishes. Also, it seems the Preview button can never generate a preview

Greetings ryans,
Sorry to hear that you are having trouble and I an trying to figure out the root of the trouble, I cannot figure out what links you are specifically talking about.
Here is my test BuddyPress site with the BuddyPress Fun theme on it and though I can go to the activity stream and make any selections, they all work but I cannot find the specific links you are referring to so that I can replicate the issue if at all possible?

Please advise.

Greetings ryans,
It appears from your graphic that you have a broken activity template and recommend re-uploading via FTP the entire /activity/ sub folder of BuddyPress Fun theme.
If that does not fix it I recommend re-uploading the entire Buddy Press Fun theme using FTP and be sure to check your FTP failure list after the upload to make sure all files sent correctly.
Please advise.

I copied over a fresh download of bp-fun, problem still exists. The Post Update button vanishes when we try to use any of those three icons. BUT, I loaded up bp-fun in another WP site and it doesn't even have those three icons. So now I'm wondering: where did they come from? Maybe I enabled a plugin or a setting, but I can't remember which settings or plugin - any ideas?

Greetings ryans,
That was what I was trying to figure out earlier was where that was coming from I cannot figure out what links you are specifically talking about and gave you a link to my installation showing they do not exist.
But I think I just found it and figured it out, the BuddyPress Activity Plus plugin?
Please advise.

Yes! that's the plugin that is causing the issue. Not sure how I missed that first time around - too obvious! Sorry. :) I'll disable the plugin until they come out with an update I suppose, unless you know of a workaround or alternate plugin that achieves the same effect?

Greetings ryans,
No problem at all and thank you for letting me know.
Have you possibly tried re-uploading it by any chance? Via FTP?
Please advise.

I deleted it then re-added it using the WP built-in Add New plugin feature where it downloads it fresh from the repo.

Greetings ryans,
Thank you for the feedback and letting me know.
That particular method is not near as accurate as when using FTP.
FTP shows the file sizes and any errors if there is one when uploading a file.
However, it is unlikely with two complete re-installations via the internal up-loader that there is an issue or file corruption though it is still possible.
UPDATE: After doing some serious testing using both a photo upload and a link upload I found that the "Post" button does not return and you just click on add photo or add link etc. for it to make the post and not using the "Post" button and the post is indeed posted.
Please advise.
Cheers, Joe

This is still an issue, but not with bp-fun. The problem was determined to be in the Activity Plus plugin.

I'm now having the same issue. Post Update button dissappears when you try to upload a photo, video or post a link. If I use the use the Add Link, Add Video or Upload File button, no post is generated.

When the video link is clicked a text field appears for the URL. When the link is placed in the field and preview is pressed it shows fine. When I click 'add video' the status is posted blank.
I've discovered now, however, I can paste the link into the regular status field and click 'Post Update' without bothering with the linked icons or other fields at all. The youtube link is embedded without any problem.
